There is a guy with the same personality as snobuilder on a off road site I'm on. I think he has been banned 4 or 5 times. The last time he had a IP address from South America. His stupid pot stirring ,insulting post gets him banned every time. With in his first 20 or so post his personality signature appears .
Why did snobuilder get banned?

I've met and ridden with Snobuilder a few times. He and his wife are both very nice people and I've seen him be very generous loaning sleds to people who didn't have one so they could attend a ride without renting, and always had a loaner available for unfortunate Cat riders who needed them at least twice that I witnessed.
I guess his humor and pot stirring are an acquired taste and not for everyone. lol

I would think most SC members are good peeps..snowbuilder may have had a web persona vs his real personality. I never met him but he did ride some of the less traveled trails that I ride.....so he can't be all bad....lol
Sort of like there are people (and I'm not suggesting or implying that he's one of them; merely giving an example) are great people until you add alcohol. Maybe forums like this are his Achille's heel.

I would have to say with the number of people who use this site, the number who have been banned is tiny. You almost have to go out of your way to do so. I think John and the mods have been pretty generous in letting a lot of stuff go, and issuing warnings when necessary, before banning someone.

it wasnt a one time thing..its just been an ongoing harassment of people..and it hit a final straw over the posting of pix criticism..which the site is based on..sharing of information..how would we know where snow is without others saying something..

For the most part people from this site that I've been able to meet and ride with are super nice and not rude at all but there's always a few rotten eggs. John trys to keep this site family friendly and some people just don't feel the need to follow rules. I mean if they get banned it's there fault john prob had a dang good reason to give him the boot. There's typically zero trash talk in here and if there is its mostly just for fun. Oh well

yea 2 different worlds..finally got sick of it during the hawks run last year..no more for me..too stressful
ez..8 plus possibly heading our way after xmas on forcast..just maybe
U cant get stressed out over it . it is just BS trash talk that is what it is. u cant really give a chit if u want to play just pick a team and hold firm. some deff funny stuff comes out the most fun is when u know some one is taking it to heart
