Will our LES source freeze over this year?

I've been wondering lately if all of this cold weather has Lake Superior making more ice than in recent years? I'd hate to see it get frozen over and shut off the LES machines. :(

I know what you mean, I came across a view of the lake ice the other day, and it didn't look to bad yet. Hoping the deep freeze does not last to much longer. No fresh LES make Skylar very grumpy!

It's surely been on my mind the past few weeks with how cold it's been. Pray for a nice big storm with very strong winds out of the west! That will mix things up nicely and buy us another few weeks.

I hope not. Ironwood needs a little LES love. Copper country has been hogging all the LES so far. NNW winds dammit!

If we all just stop riding sleds we could decrease the global warming by .000000000000001 in 1652 years, it's a worthy cause and I'll start just as soon as I die.

they call it stuck in a ice jamb in the south poll .I LOVE IT the irony is way to much H huge ship full of researcher who bow down at the alter of global warming go to the south poll to research dispersing ice get frozen in and the ice is so thick the largest breakers cant get to them. LOVE IT . I say let them camp out for the winter. 1 more just awsume thing is this yr is the yr the Gore told us all the ice caps would be gone .How is that working out for u Al? south poll Ice sheet never been larger this time of yr than has been from the beginning of record keeping.
but hey I am sure u all saw these storys on cnn and nbc and abc this week lmfao

I was just looking at some of the satellite images and it looks like not even 5% is ice covered.

Has it ever been locked up completely?

I've been thinking the exact same thing the past few days and even thought of starting a thread on it. It is the most ironic thing ever! :) Gore made all that money on his lies and now no one in the main stream media calls him out on it, as you said. It's just amazing how biased the media is getting in every way. The media is supposed to keep the government honest, they are both failing miserably!
