Please tell me the folks in AC’s marketing/branding department aren’t going to be so completely dense as to have a four stroke “9000” and a two stroke “9000”. Would completely fit in with their past behavior though. Feel like a person needs a secret decoder ring from Ovaltine when it comes to decoding Cat model names the past decade or so.

Cat really needs to drop some of that Textron cash on an outside consultant when it comes to branding and graphics. They’re a clown show in that capacity. Remember when Cat had a lineup that was easy to understand, and made good looking sleds with several color choices within each model? Yeah, me too. Other brands are absolutely eating their lunch in that regard - especially Poo.

Pretty much BS just as ITC Sledder stated, no 2 stroke Ctec AC will be called a 9000. If there is a real "880" Ctec, it will have a 8000 tag. I have a good AC rider friend, who tells me he prefers the old reliable Zuk, to the 800 Ctec? Seems strange? He claims Ctec has a slight performance gain mid range, but uses more fuel.
