I wish I did have a JD sticker but I don't. Actually I was surprised to see how many hunters were on sleds. Hunters use whatever means to get into the woods so there is no issues here in the least. The truth is we rode no designated snowmobile trails or ATV trails. If you want to maintain this form of legalism go right ahead but in reality,no one has an issue with this except you apparently,,,right? We didn't see a single DNR officer or police officer but I would be willing to bet they would not even ask what's going on. Keep in ind we are in the UP, not Lansing or Detroit. My kids get a day off school for hunting season, youth hunts are a huge success. This is old school up here bud, and at the same time this isn't a means to justify breaking the law BUT it's just the way things are and no one questions it,,,except a select few who love to point fingers because they can,,,hint hint

There is an ATV trail from Ontonagon to Greenland and it is on the road, supposed to have one tire on shoulder and other on blacktop, not many people follow that because it can be dangerous,,,,,,,, and where do you see ATV trail sharing the road with vehicles? Just pointing out how oldschool things are up here.

Vilas WI has not said anything yet either about snowmobiles on trails but probably will as WI deer rifle season creeps closer. As I said before I don't know how hunters will get into forest?..... snow shoes maybe but won't be able to go far in + haul/drag shot deer out..... good luck in these conditions. If the clubs pan the trails hunters will be able to get deep in in forest .... Sno Eagles are on the ball but others not so much so far. Not sure how these conditions will work out for deer hunters just have to see if they turn out or not but let them have it for rifle deer season....black powder not so much big 12 day revenue loser for Vlias county with tons of snow. I'm thinking Vilas just might open trails Dec 1 rather than watch the trailer parade to the UP.lol

Rifle deer season starts tomorrow!!! Today is NOT the 15th. Not one pic taken is on private land most pics were on a powerline we were on otherwise never left the bill Nichols!

As we were passing through south range a cop drove past in front of us. I waved he waved back. That trail must be closed right? I was too tired from yesterday I missed my clubs trail marking. I woke up in time but between 2 hrs of sleep the night before and 5 by the time I woke up that just wasn't enough! I am jealous of the elderly who can go all day on an hour of sleep though!

It is what it is just have to see how things play out by December 1.. Big money won't take black powder seriously for 10 dead deer county wide.lol Probably open up say if you find closed gate respect landowner rights don't tresspass & let the games begin. Pretty much what they did last year & this year more of a no brainer condition & revenue wise.

I noticed you didn't want to respond to the question I asked you about you making assumptions,,thanks for admitting your mistake,,,,and YES,,the BN trail is open, as of today restricted hrs for gun season for hunters but it can be ridden legally. Shouldn't you have be asking this question before you start calling people criminals and above the law. At least you have been educated, everyday is a good day if you learn something right?

Don't waste too much time, they're gonna do what they want anyway. There's always going to be a certain number of people that have no problem at all doing what is reasonable to THEM, without regard for the stigma it creates for the sport, and those that want to project the best image possible for it. I'll try but they don't unfortunately! If the new chassis rmk comes out next year I'd probably only order up a new one if they have a 146 version. I'd still prefer the extra agility, not saying I don't like my new one though it was a blast!
