I'm trying to gather information on what snowmobile riders consider to be the best food choices when you are NOT stopping to go in to eat, but rather are stopping for a gas-up and to grab something quick.
With a little planning, I bring firestarters, charcoal (prewrapped in a paper bag?, dogs, musturd packets & buns. Find a flat boulder.
Get the idea?
Dog on the trail, very tasty, when hungry!

spaghettios.ravioli or any chef boyardee cook well with my 3 buck cooking system.
shrimp scampi is a muff pot no no sled smelled like burning butter and dirty stripper for over a mo.
but for the most part meat and cheese some times I will go all out bring some triscuits and a can of cheese whiz always a hit with a crew with the munchies
Would pizza by the slice be interesting to anyone? How about chicken tenders?
I realize that many "destination ride".......or have a specific destination (probably "watering hole" & eatery) to aim at, but I'm wanting to hear what would be easy to grab and go from where you fuel up.
Snickers bar & or beef sticks, jerky, powerade /water. Never ever leave food in saddle bags or fox will tear apart bags to get at it. Smart & tricky critters & I like them very active in winter snow.
Pizza by the slice is good as long as it tastes like real pizza. I also like those little mini pizzas that you see at some gas stations.http://www.pcpizza.com/pizzacafe
Lasagna in the muff pot. trail side. life is good. Or Hot dogs with friends in the woods with a open fire while searching for "Bobcats" is always a good time!
Hey tomx.....................exactly what I'm aiming at. I'm evaluating the purchase of a "local business" and my goal would be to have those things mentioned on this thread (within reason) available. Obviously you can't please all the people all the time, but I just wanted to get a bit of a handle on this as I do my due diligence.
