Without naming brands............I know how folks get on this board and I really don't care too much about brand. I like all 3 options.
Price being equal would you buy.....
Current model with carbs or prior model year sled with efi?
Thank you!

Not counting Yammi in the mountain. Sorry.

I am partial to Cats as you know. Only have heard good things about the Poo. Not a huge fan of the XP. Will never own another carbed sled again. If it doesn't have EFI, I wouldn't even consider it. If I was picking one, it would be the Cat only because I know how it handles (very well).

Ive been riding sleds since I was a kid. This is the first sled Ive ever owned that had EFI. In the past, I just didn't think it was necessary. Now having ridden a sled with EFI for five years, I will never EVER go back to carbs. Imo, if you had EFI before and went back to carbs you'll regret it later, unless your a tinkerer.

Wow! EFI has it! Guess I need to decide Cat or Poo to replace my 2007 Summit 600 SDI with 8700 miles on it. The 600 mountain class is really the perfect sled for the U.P. For the last 4 years it has had all the power I need to get through the deep and and navigate through trees and climb hills. When I go out west I rent and blow up other peoples 800's. LOL!

I have had an efi before, but an older one. Still don't really want one either. Carbed Poo's are bulletproof (not saying a cfi isnt), cleaning them takes a half hour, changing jets takes 10 minutes. If your ecu goes to he11 you have to take out a loan to fix it!

but if he dose not buy a poo his voltage regulator will not overheat and take out his ecu

There really isn't much cleaning to an SDI (clean belt dust out of the throttle bodies) and no changing jets. Only thing that goes through an SDI throttle body is air, so no fuel deposits. IF the ECU goes, yeah, they're expensive -- but how often do they go?

Carbs are probably more "tuneable" and maybe better if you're into doing a lot of mods.....but for "plug and play", fuel injection is the way to go.

Don't go with the past, we all know what mountain sled has dominated the past 2-3 years hands down.

domanated or struggeld to keep up with its lack of power?
Horsepower? Who cares if it has 5 less hp, its still the top selling mountain sled for 2 years in a row! Guess who's on top in market share this year? No, it's not the brand that came out with an all new chassis.

Hmmm not sure about who sold more since since Poo & AC reported sled divisions sales in different time spands but AC was ahead dollar wise. Becareful what you say unless you have the sales numbers as 2-4 positions are fluid this year. Some platforms are getting old in tooth some are brand new & selling well. From what I saw AC was ahead in #2 slot & Poo #3 but close.

#'s as of a week ago, Poo, Doo, Cat, Yami. Yami is at about 10% right now roflmao. Don't have the graph saved that came out earlier this week to prove it though... The other 3 are VERY close.
