Disrespect To Our Landowners

There just needs to be a map made by the state that clearly defines the areas that are legal to ride off trail. It sucks because it makes it more announced to those who have kept off trail riding quiet and to themselves, but this is the only way people will know to legally go. This is the only obvious answer besides don't ride if you don't know whose or what land you are on.

not necessarily cuz they will do it anyways...

but forest lands are open to use, state park land and wildlife isnt..forest roads unplowed are unless posted not..seems pretty simple..PRIVATE MEANS PRIVATE

It seems to be a loosing battle with people trespassing. Its not just in Michigan, its all over. And don't blame the sled type. Not sure how to fix this, but steep fines would be a great first step. The loud pipes aren't not helping us at all either. I have a field along our driveway that people seem to think its ok to break fresh powder in. I'm an avid snowmobiler and have just about lost my patience with these idiots.

I didn't read all the responses on this thread there a far too many so this story may have already been told.
Maybe this karma. We were riding between Ironwood and Lake Gogebic three years ago and came across a nice shiny new sled sitting in the middle of the trail with a big puddle of anti-freeze under it. It was easy to see that the person had been off trail because you could plainly see his tracks coming back on the trail.
I've never done any off trail riding, I don't think I would like it. I'm far to old and far too out of shape to repair what some call 'a good stuck'.
