Pretty in Pink

Got word from dealer that pistons wont be in til April. So I asked what the **** can I do? They had dealer rep call me and he decided to let me use his sled. So fine and dandy ,cool awesome .... But he calls me Wednesday says I can only put a coup[le hundred miles on it. Not happy but whatever decided to take sons sled along too . Loading it up last night noticed that it only goes to 7000 rpm. So took clutch up to dealer and found nothing wrong with it. So something else is wrong. Decided to take wifes Adventure. So if u see a Pink Adventure this weekend be sure to say hi. P.S...../.... can you say YAMAHAAAAAAAAA?

I mean I can understand your gonna need rebuild with amount of miles he puts on. But to not have pistons and have him back running is inexcusable in my opinion. For the $$ he spends cannot believe dealer/Polaris cannot step up with a sled for him.

tells me what every one already knows.
but with all the pom pom waving the cheerleaders are just dropping them off to get fixed and pretending it never happened.
poo should try to buy a 800 from Suzuki then they would have something to wave pom poms about

yup you can't expect these new 2s to last over a few thousand miles. If you want em too, gotta turn the oil pump up or its a ticking time bomb. dont matter the brand, 2 strokes aint made to run that lean. I just got an 07 IQ 600 HO first thing I did was turn the oil pump up. 2nd thing I did was jet the carbs leaner. If you want em to last you gotta tinker. Can't expect anything to keep on ticking without maintenance. Unless of course you want to go ride a 600 lb yamaha and push through the corners like no tomorrow. :)

Seems like Poo should start selling them with spare pistons....not too much different than your car coming with a spare tire, is it?

I know it's older, but there is a 700 Cat EFI in my group with 11,000+ miles now. Not sure what he's up to now since the speedo stopped earlier this year. Sure it uses a little more oil, but the gas mileage isn't that much different from all the 600 CFI's in our group.

Do the Doo 2 strokes hold up now? You don't seem to hear as much about them as you used to, and I know they still sell them like crazy.

I remember reading in snowtech a couple years ago that the Poo's will last longer with some oil in the tank. Any downside to doing that, besides the extra oil you are burning?

Indy, at least with a Yamaha its not in the shop all the time from what I hear. And I had Poos Turbos at 594 lbs. and they are not that hard to drive at all and the Yamis got power steering. And btw neither motor is due to oil .

Give me a call. We'll get you on a new SRViper and you won't have these problems again, or maybe a Vector LTX with powersteering. Feel free to stop by anytime and take a demo ride. Come on Indy:) Come to the darkside!! LOL!
