2014 or 2015 POO 800s

Just throwing this question out there for a friend of mine. He is wondering how many miles anyone has on their 2014 or 2015 polaris 800s? What problems if any especially motor issues, anyone that responds please be honest . Thanks in advance.

2014 Switchback Assault 800 - 3,100 miles after 2 seasons of riding. Only issue so far has been having the starter solenoid replaced when my e/s quit working. That is it. Runs great.

My 2015.... obviously still fine. Towed a 2011 out of the woods a few times with a hole in the crank case from dropped cylinder skirt.

800 HO....3914 miles good to go.

FWIW....(lets say a million buck$)....same miles on any a my Yamaha 4 strokes and the question wouldn't even get asked.

OK, this is the problem I figured we would have getting somewhat of good information. No one has any amount of miles to prove my point to him yet. He puts 5,000-8000 miles on in a year like myself and he is concerned about the motors holding up . He blew up his 2013 three times (11,000 MILES NOW), His wife and grandkids drive it now,and his 2012 twice. He bought a Viper in February of 2014 and has over 9,000 miles on it and is thinking about going back to POO, (dont ask me why).Any more info is appreciated. Thanks, Rupp Collector , looking for 14 and 15s .

honestly, the 2 strokes are like a hot girlfriend on the side....(I assume)....lots a fun ...for awhile. But for the miles your friend is spinning up....the Yamahas are probly the best choice.

Polarisdan. he is retired and has about 6,000 on this year and I ride when we are up there and party at night . I only had about 3,500 this year but had a lot more fun , believe it or not because the wife went along 4 times this year. Still an ok year with no snow within 100 miles of home.

Maybe he wants the best chassis available vs. the best motor. However, with those miles, a 4 stroke is the way to go.
