hey MOMO...after watching the yellowknife series, if you could choose a one sled fits all for him, what would it be....or does this guy actually need 2 sleds for how and where he rides?

i think the poo axys chassis is as good as any on the trail.
I didn't expect to hear that from you, but I give you credit for an honest opinion. They did seem to get it right. Doo needs some competition, they've been #1 too long.![]()
but that was not a first yr sled. that 6 had been out from 04 and the exact same chassis was out the yr before as a m6 141 .there are a few exceptions to the rule but every 1st yr sled I got was a pile and I have seen many many 1st yr runs with a lot of growing pains .A majority of the time I can agree with you ez, but, this one doesn't always hold true. I bought a first year sled, 2006 Crossfire 600, still have it, no troubles ever. I have made some changes to the sled to make it to my liking, but, no mechanical issues. Solid, dependable, & surprising for a 600. You simply couldn't get a new one remotely like it today for less than 13 grand. For a first year anything, it's been pretty damn good, & taken care of properly, it will be for another 10 years. -Mezz
it wasn't a dislike but kinda shocked he was influencing peoples decision making when he himself is buying some of the worst sleds for his application and than those who know no better will avoid that machine when it will very well be a good candidate for their style.

my first trip out west we had a guy with a Nytro who was a beginner rider so we didn't go steep and deep but that sled out there did well an does handle well with a little momentum so when I see yellowknife on a Nytro up there i say,,yuk,,,bad decision. No offense but guys like you and ezra will take that and run with it trying to show people that those sleds are crap, that's what I object to. There are guys on non turbo Nytro that will way out ride Ezra and guys on renegades that will stomp me so what is the point of reviews when you ride the wrong sleds for your application, it is bound for a negative report! Do you see my point?
Got to agree with Attak man....most Yamaha guys only bring up their sleds on here because some yellow pompom waver can't possibly tell us all how wonderful their Doos are without also,...in some way, large or small...rip on a Yamaha....I'm beginning to realize that us Yamaha owners is livin in a Doo owners heads rent free....LOL
I also agree that Doo makes a great sled....the silent majority that go about their riding without having to rip another sled can't all be wrong in their purchase.

u should let all the guys I still see even this winter with the hair dryers under the hood at motels on those cold mornings how great there sleds starting reputation is![]()
come on man u know that is BS how many motes have u driven by when below zero? every time u see a crew of guys standing around with a extension cord coming from the room they are around a Yamaha well usually a few that wont start with a hair dryer under the hood. I cant even count the number of times I have seen the scene and chuckled
Are these sleds that don't have a pull start, only electric starter. Never got that, why not have a recoil, even if it was only under hood and not like regular, below handlebars.
Simple ...You can't pull start a 4s need electric start to turn that puppy over....recoil would be useless.lol I found my Apex won't start at -30F unless battery is peaked but never had the frozen relay problem. This is 1 of the reasons 4s makes no sense in Yellow Knife ...wrong sled application in those temps.
Allan had no problem plugging in his engine block, battery charger and battery heating pad for 2 hours before he would go riding. The engine always turned over real fast and the engine temp would be 30C. But would not start. just sayin...
Even if it did start going to be problems when no place to plug in heating pad & charger...again a bad application for any 4s.
