lol after the last few yrs your best bet would be to push it out to the curb with a free sign .
What method do you use to sell your used sled? Craigslist, sledswap, ebay, trade in to dealer??
I am probably more curious of how many trade in at dealer and thought they did okay. I can’t remember but can somebody confirm you don’t pay sales tax on the value of your snowmobile trade in only on the price difference like a car?
I use the 'hand-me-down' method lol. Two years ago, on the way up to the Yoop, I had joked that I might be coming home with a new sled. Well, sure enough, I ended up cracking an A-arm and it was going to take four days to get a new one, and the trip would have been over by the time it was fixed. So, I bought a new ride at the dealer. The dealer offered a fair trade-in amount but not near what I could sell it for on Craigslist or other classifieds. So I offered it to one of the newer, younger guys in our group for more than what the dealer would give me, but less than what I would have had it advertised. He was a ready-made buyer on the spot and it turned out to be a win-win for everybody.
Nope, not my truck lol. Yep, same here, I never have a problem selling to friends because they know my stuff isn't beat to s*%t.
I live in Iowa & we have to pay sales tax on new & used sleds so the last time when I traded mine into Kip I only paid the difference back in Iowa. Maybe that is what Indy meant when he said "the tax part is true"? I wasn't sure since he responded to a comment stating one doesn't have to pay sales tax like a car.
hey OHIO are you the guy with the HUGE custom 6 door SUV/PICKUP? the one I saw was silver with black pinstriping? it was like this one
o ya....I keep em for a spell and that way I can let others come with that don't sled all the time or cant afford these things...that way I have a buddy and some help digging out and fun and frivolities....but I have sold some to peeps on these sites and some to the younger ones also....never had to sell on craigs or ebay or anything else....I am anul about them being in great running order so they are in tip top shape and usually go to the 1st guy I ask...and EZRA you right on that...that's why I keep em if they run good....the last one was a 2000 Zl 600 EFI that I painted and rebuilt to the tune of 2200 bucks....then sold to me bud for 300...LOL
