    Retirement Scenario

While I’m not close to retirement age yet I do know a good part of my time will be spent up at my place during the summer and occasional visits in the winter to ride. I do feel confident in the healthcare close to me in iron mountain, especially since I know some of the doctors personally and...

    The Last of the Yamaha's

Yes, I was one of those waiting for a purebred Yamaha. Waited 10 years then moved on. I did try a 2015 yamicat viper for my son and had nothing but problems with the chaincase seal. Finally it crapped out on the trail. Had to tow it back home. We were on a trip from Florence to L'Anse and back...

    The Last of the Yamaha's

I ride Doo now but I did keep my 2012 APEX XTX just because I can. I recently replaced parts I thought would need replacing and probably should think about a small inventory of misc wear items but I think one day it may be worth something. It’s in almost perfect condition and a pure blood...

Winter Storm Warning for 3/24 and 3/25 Northern Wisconsin

thank you for the explanation. I have watched weather practically my whole life and until I've never seen the term cyclone used other than for hurricanes in the Asian area. oh well. times change

Winter Storm Warning for 3/24 and 3/25 Northern Wisconsin

I didn't think I've been living under a rock but...when did the NOAA forecasters start calling snow storms "cyclones"? "A strong cyclone will bring significant snow accumulations to parts of central, north-central, and far northeast Wisconsin from this afternoon through late tonight"

Winter Storm Warning for 3/24 and 3/25 Northern Wisconsin

Will probably get half of what they are forecasting then 40’s/50’s next two days with rain. Snow will be gone right away. As far as being dry…holy cow. The swamp by my place is completely dry. Only saw that once or twice in my lifetime

    Retirement Scenario

Isn't that the truth. I hate it and would move in a heartbeat if I could. I'm too far into my career to pack up and relocate and start over. I've been doing what I do for 38 years now. Fortunately my son is now slowly coming into the business and maybe I can be semi-retired much sooner than that...

    Retirement Scenario

I'm too far away to think seriously about it, maybe 10-20 years. But if I'm dreaming...Florida in the winter except when I'm up riding and lake in the summer.

    3-22

Just a dusting in Florence and the forecast said 2-4” at first then 1-3”. That’s about right for what they predicted. Those numbers usually mean just a trace. Enough to make things white

Stain on walls: what is it?

If that's mold it could be behind the drywall. Not just on the surface. I agree with Favoritos, 40% humidity at 60 degrees will give you way too much moisture in the walls and windows if it is cold outside. I don't know enough about the house you are talking about but if you aren't living there...

Stain on walls: what is it?

Try to keep humidity down. If you aren’t there a lot try to keep the heat set higher than you are currently. At least 62 to 66 degrees. This will run the heat more but will also keep humidity down.

    TIME TO CALL IT ?

I agree with this. we had a ton of rain last week in my area and it flooded very quickly. Summer would have soaked in more. I realize ground isn't frozen but it seemed vegetation wasn't alive to drink it up. Slowly melting snow probably is better because of that.

    Camso's new Ice Arrowhead track

I'd be all over it if there was a button I could push to retract all the little picks so the trailer and garage floor wouldn't get destroyed.
