    price increases on sleds?

I sold trailers for a couple of years from 2016 to 2018. When President Trump put the steel tariffs on the company’s put a surcharge on the price. If I remember correctly the highest that I saw was 12 percent. I talked to my old coworker a couple weeks ago and he said on the most popular...

Estate auction with lots of vintage sleds

There is an auction with lots of vintage sleds and parts in NW MN (Gary, MN) on July 10th. Information can be found at www.bergauctions.com. It looks like most of them need a full restoration but it says between 400 and 500 sleds.

    It's hot out there

Our temperature topped out at 103 today. It is the first time we have been above 100 in Grand Forks since 1993 I think. It is supposed to be in the upper 80s to upper 90s for the next week also. It is very dry and I think that is why it is so hot. We have had an almost continues string of wet...

    Mass testing

Like I mentioned in an earlier post we had a Covid 19 outbreak at work and as of Wednesday 9 employees had tested positive, on Thursday the state brought in a test swat team and tested 424 people in a drive through test site set up in the company parking lot in 5 hours. On Friday the number of...

    How's it going out there

I have been reading most of the posts about the Covid 19 pandemic and am glad that I live where I do. In ND we have the usual things shut down like schools, theaters, sporting events, bars, sit down restaurants and we can't get a haircut but many places remain open. I have been working my usual...

    Northern MN

It wasn't MN but two of us rode along the Red River on the ND side last Sunday and two more joined us last Monday, we rode the fields close to the river and went about 85 miles both days, unless we get a bunch of snow the riding is done here but it was a long season

    1/27/2019

It started snowing at about 1:30 this afternoon and I think it is about done now. I would guess about 5 inches in my driveway, maybe a little more but it is real fluffy, you could almost use a leaf blower to move it, it was below zero for most of the snowfall

The local weather guys were predicting 1 to 2 inches by the morning of 1/22 but we have about 5 inches at midnight and it is supposed to snow until morning, it is pretty rare that we get more than predicted

I rode from Pinehurst Resort west of Itasca park to Walker and back last Saturday, it was before the rain on Sunday but the snow was good, we rode over to Walker on corridor 74 and it was very good, coming back we stayed a little north of 74, I am not sure of the number but went by Lake George ...

Second accumulating snow of the month already, maybe 3 inches so far, about 15 miles west at the Grand Forks AFB they have gotten at least 8 inches so far. I am helping a farmer friend with sugar beet harvest, it should take 10 to 14 days and started on October 1st, we have just over two days in...

    Lots of snow

I got to go for an end of the season ride on Saturday in ND, the snow wasn't very deep but it was white and the sled ran cool. It is not normal to ride in April here unless you go out right after a snow, but we haven't gotten any good new snow for two weeks. Put on almost 80 miles and the deer...

    Post your favorite riding pic.

The paddles were factory made but it was a 141 inch track with 3/4 inch lugs and the paddles were purple plastic claws that you installed like studs with a backer, we also were ahead of our time with handlebars that look a lot like my pro tapers, I also see in the picture that I had my red Bell...
