We've been up to the cabin the last two weekends and have taken advantage of the melting snow to visit some waterfalls. We've hit Gooseberry, Baptism River, Cross River, Temperance River, and the Cascade river. The water has been running good and will just get better as it warms up this week.

If you are referring to the Ford 6.2 I did not have that before moving to this truck. I did see a report on the difference between the two engines though and the 7.3 reaches its max torque rating at a lot lower RPM than the 6.2. In fact the 7.3 is putting out more torque at something like 1800...

That would be a sweet truck. I gave some thought to the tremor package but I barely get into my garage right now and taller tires would make it awfully tight. I told my wife as soon as we move, hopefully next year, the next place will need a taller garage door and then I'll throw on some 35's.

So my reason is truly cost related. It would be another 8K for the diesel along with more expensive to maintain. Everything I’ve read on the 7.3 says it’s really up to the job for as much as I want to tow, 12-13000 lbs. And I just won’t put enough miles on it to justify a diesel.

The ride is a little rough empty. My F150 rode pretty rough empty as well but this is worse!

The color is their Carbon Gray. I usually do black trucks but I like this one.

My F150 had the 5.0. My sled trailer is a 4 Place enclosed and we got about 10 pulling it but never ran more than 70 with it. It just pushed the truck around more than I liked.

Thats such a neat spot. So much easier to get up there during the winter than having to hike up in the summer!

A 137" would be fine, just not that suspension. Or just go buy yourself an Assault and put a 2" track on it. Then you'll be rocking! We are heading up Friday, hopefully we get some fresh snow up there!

It was a fantastic year in Northern MN. We had rideable snow from 12/15 thru now. Still planning to go this weekend and a late April ride. Throw in a trip to Utah and it was another good year with 0 mechanical issues!
