    2022 sucks!

Well guys the 900 ace was short lived. She tapped a frozen plowed field dirt chunk in December, which dented the front of the bulkhead in front of the s module, and cracked the belly pan. I put a skid plate on it to cover it up and get through the year. Then… as some of you may know she took it...

    3/6 Snowfall

2.5” of wet and heavy on the north side of Greenville. Really dropped off on my 12 mile drive southeast into Appleton this morning, maybe an inch at work.

    MI Fatality with groomer

RIP such a tragedy. Left behind 2 little ones and a fabrication business. The wife passed away due to covid in 2021, and now this. Couldn’t imagine what those 2 kids are going through

    Above the Law...LOL

The same can be said for the tens of thousands of people who flock to the north woods every winter and do the same thing though. Do you walk into an establishment for dinner up there and cuss out every snowmobiler with a beer in their hand? Doubt it… The point is, just because of their job...

    Above the Law...LOL

I have to respectfully disagree with your comparisons. Those are issues, on the job. These guys weren’t working… they were on vacation. I’m in no way shape or form condoning drinking and riding. I for one do not mix heavy drinking and riding. But, Have I had a beer with a burger while on sleds...

What makes us ride where we do?

For us it’s simple. Lodging. Bringing the little man with most trips, he wants a pool. The fiancé wants a modern-ish hotel. That puts us in a lot of the high traffic areas. We have stayed in Ironwood, St Germain, Eagle River, and Ashland this year. Had to bail on Minocqua a few weeks ago when...

My hopes are the groomers let the sleds pack the new snow down. Otherwise they will wipe a lot of it away and expose more bare spots to let the sun burn it away.

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

Just throwing out my 2 cents again in a different way, may be slightly off topic but still pertains to the discussion. In my experience there is no financial benefit to keeping most any snowmobile past 5k miles. The resale plummets and you start having to stick cash into it. It adds up quick...

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

I think some of youse may be confusing the point of this thread. From what I’m reading, many of you own or have owned high mile sleds since new or close to new, and it doesn’t bother you because you all do a great job maintaining it. From the sounds of it, SB is having issues selling some sleds...

Rode out of Tigerton Saturday, headed up to Wittenberg and then West to Elderon, up thru Hatley, before heading northeast to Aniwa and up To Antigo. Ate lunch and headed over to Phlox and down through Mattoon and Bowler before taking the J trail back to Tigerton. Antigo was rough because they...

    Who Rode The Catalyst?

I heard nobody got to ride them because they all blew up in the first 10 miles 😬

What amount of miles on a sled scare you?

It really depends on my intention with the sled. But I tend to shy away from 2 strokes with over 5k miles. At that point, you need driveline bearings, rear skid attention, and possibly a new track already. Steering starts getting sloppy, clutches need attention, and we haven’t gotten to the fact...

    Who Rode The Catalyst?

We are comparing ice oval track conditions to a snocross style track… The junkersled races continue to grow every year, awesome to see! Haven’t made it yet but would love to one of these years. Run by a bunch of young local guys who just love sleddin! Maybe some day it will catch enough...

    Trail 15 Iron River MI

They screwed the trails up real good up that way by not grooming before the rain. Hard to venture away from traffic on MI trails these days.

    Trail 15 Iron River MI

Man you guys sound too picky. Most local trails opened up down here for the first time and there’s people ripping brand new sleds on 10” of snow with no base across plowed fields.

    Tomahawk Update 2-22-23

Best trails I rode all day today were elderon hatley area. I wouldn’t even drive that far to tomahawk up 51 unless you have a place up there.
