900 Ace - Stripped Threads on Block

Apparently this isn't uncommon. I was able to find multiple other people who have done this on the ski-doo forum. I ordered a repair kit from Time-Sert. It wasn't cheap but is similar to a "keensert" but is designed to seal. Hopefully have it before this weekend.

900 Ace - Stripped Threads on Block

I was changing the oil in my son's Renegade 900 Ace and stripped out the threads on the block with the drain plug. What are my options to fix it? Thanks!

    Parking for a Cause

This right here is why you have the reputation and following that you do. This doesn't go unnoticed. Another poster already mentioned it but setup a paypal or a venmo so people can donate after hours or just because they want to.

    SnowTech Editorial Scary Snowmobiling Future

I am in engineer and I own several rental properties. Have no debt and am somewhat good with my money. When I say i am going to retire I really mean that I am going to stop working for someone else. I would walk away today but I want to get a business up and moving first. I haven't totally...

    SnowTech Editorial Scary Snowmobiling Future

Sorry MRBB you must have misread my post. I am actually a member of my local club in Illinois as well as clubs in Wisconsin and Minnesota. I think I even joined a club in the UP last year as well. I do go out and pound stakes and pull stakes when I can but it is usually a last minute project...

    SnowTech Editorial Scary Snowmobiling Future

I guess I have a different take on it. I am 42 and looking to retire at or before 50. Once I retire I want to pursue all the things that I don't have time for today. One of those is becoming very involved in a snowmobile club. Since I have been a club member it has almost always been retired...

    Well, it is here ...

Saw it in person on Sunday at Haydays. I thought it was pretty sharp. I have seen a ton of people bashing it because it is only offered in a 600, it is ugly etc etc. I just don't get some people. To me them having a new chassis, and commited to having a successor to the 800 next year is a...

    Who's Going???

My son and I went on Sunday. It was both of ours first time there. I didn't end up buying much. I didn't really need anything but it was great to see all of the gear, sleds and accesories and so many people exicited about the season.

Borrowing money from family member instead of from a bank to purchase real estate-need ideas/advice

Another way to look at this if you are a numbers person is: Are you willing to risk your relationship with your brother for $4125.00 per year? I don't know how close you are with him but if he is in your will I would assume you are pretty close. To me personally 4,125.00 per year isn't work...

    Baseball, Basketball cards, and coins

Most of the sports cards values has moved to a graded market. There isn't much of a market left for non-graded cards. Add in the over production of cards from 1988-1998 and most everything between those years aren't worth anything.

    Building / Shop advice

You may want to look into Raynor garage doors. They are made in Dixon, IL and are only sold through dealers that install and service the doors. They are the best quality doors in the industry. In full disclosure, I am an engineer at Raynor.

    Tire Recommendations - F350

Any recommendations for tires you have been happy with in winter conditions while towing? It is time to replace the tires and thought I would see what everyone else thought. Currently have Goodyear Wranglers ( Stock Tires ) on the 2018 F-350 gasser and am not unhappy with them but if there is...
