Indy, a long time ago, before I had trucks, and long before I had my cottage in northern WI, I bought my first trailer. Looked like a deal because it was cheap compared to the aluminum enclosed equipment. But once you start pulling with steel, you will not like it. They are big boat anchors behind your vehicle, whatever it is. Plus - THEY RUST all over. Never again.
Wait for a deal and buy an enclosed aluminum either with a cap, or other. Good used deals are hard to come by, but they can be found, and are worth the wait. I don't care what I have to pull it with, I wouldn't put that kind of stress on my vehicle. There's a big weight diff between aluminum and steel. In the long run you will be putting a ton of stress on your tow vehicle, and those aren't cheap either.
I wouldn't walk away - I'd run.
