Am I thinking the right way here?

Here is how I do things when selling something, first person with the cash wins. And I tell people that. If you want to come look at it Saturday, fine, but if a guy shows up with the money on Thursday, sorry, it is sold.

I never go to a deal with out green money what is the point showing up broke how do you negotiate a deal with empty pockets?
I tell any one calling to buy something from me dont come over unless you have the cash to buy and I wont let any test riding happen untill I have some cash in hand

Well I bought that 99 classic for $2500 needs some rust repair, gas gauge is finicky, cv boot is torn, and the driver door linkage needs to be hooked back up. Could probably use some tie rods too. All in all a pretty solid truck imo, I just sold mine for $3100 and bought this for $2500 LOL Only 154k no dents, and the paint really SHINES unlike the peeling clearcoat on my old one. He was asking $3500 btw LOL

Fix those things and use your left over money on a new sled or sled stuff. WIN WIN.

It's only one year older, just a little more miles, and you still $5k in your pocket.
Seems like you made a good choice.

The other one would have needed some work too, at 12 years they always do.

12 hour round trip to buy a "sight unseen" sled for me last fall.
Had someone do a 11-1/2 hour trip to buy a sled from me on his second attempt. He got 3 hours out first time then had to turn back, so 18 hour total.

Sorry to jack your thread again, Indy.. but the guy with my boat bailed on the deal nitpicking some missing pin stripping. Not the end of the world but definite lesson learned.

here indy, I'll help you out:

Good One, just needs a " Ed Hardy " wrap and that thing would look " fly ". ??? Not sure about the slang , still learning from my kids. On a different note... one of my twin daughters finally bought her own NEW pair of kicks the other day.
Now what are we talking about again ?

Wow, is that as spotless inside as it is outside?
Hope you feel at least a little guilty for stealing it for that price! LOL
