Bears & nfl

I think good chance bears draft down if the opportunity presents itself. sounds like possibly 4 QB's could go in top 10 and teams behind bears need QBs

Bills have 21st and 22nd pick and need a QB. I would trade that for #8.

washington and cardinals could also trade up. Unless pace has a player at #8 he cant pass on, i like getting more pics for the young team.

I don't see #8 helping the Bears that much unless a can't miss OL or edge rusher is there otherwise trade down for more picks. Some teams will be talking to Pace for sure. The QB fest will be on for 2018 draft. I also wonder what happens with Glennon? ... Bears don't need him.

All depends on how many QBs go early. Possible one of the top 4 position players falls to 8. So all about paces plan in FA and projected needs in draft and who is available but he should have lots of options to execute plan.

Pace has to be shopping Glennon totally different QB and O plays than Trubisky...Nagy may have a #2 QB in mind as well....Glennon not it ...lol

Yep glennon is cut. and he gets his guaranteed money. and will now likely be a career backup.

Maybe Pace can package Glennon to a QB needy team to get more draft picks trading down. Allows a team to draft a young gun and have a number #2 in 1 deal with the Bears. Only market for Glennon is back up QB.

Glennon is not going to get big money in any event but I get your point easy way out is to release him let him move on as FA for back up money.

If they trade the team accepting him would take on salary to my understanding, thus i dont see any team wanting to pay him 15mil or whatever.

KC didn't waste anytime dealing Smith to Washington ...a good move for Smith and cuts Cousins loose to make a FA deal. I like Mahomes ...such a good arm but not sure he is ready to take KC to playoffs like Smith did. Andy has a built in excuse now if only 500. I'm not sure where Cousins ends up Denver, AZ or Jets? Not sure if any of those clubs can wait and develop a rookie QB like the Bears? Very interesting how fast moves are being made!

That move by the skins is puzzling to say the least. They gave away Cousins who is totally solid look at his numbers he's a top 8 QB three years and counting now in his prime for Smith who while serviceable is already 32 years old and they sign him to a four year deal. The skins say they didn't want to break the bank for Cousins but are now paying Smith 23 mill a year. On top off all that they threw in a 3rd pick and their best DB Fuller, he's every bit as good as Norman only much much cheaper. And in two years skins will be still be looking for their QB.
Very rare to trade a above avg. QB in his prime just because you don't feel like paying him. Kirk gonna make a boat load somewhere prolly Jaxville.

The Skins would not commit to Cousins kept paying him cheap money ....good for Kirk he FINALLY got out ....has quick release and accurate too. Smith solid but as you said the age thing doesn't make sense ....Skins not going anywhere but 500 imo. Where Kirk ends up is an unknown lots of possibilities.

I don’t know about paying Kirk cheap he did make 44 mill in two years of franchise tags but yah I hear ya they wouldn’t commit long term to him . Thing is I’ve read this contract is about 15 % less than what Kirk will get . Don’t seem like much diff in the grand scheme, but whatever.

Its simple cousins didnt want to play in washington. The relationship was tarnished over the past few years with the franchise tags and disagreements on contract. Cousins wouldnt sign with them and a franchise tag woulda cost the redskins 36 million. Washington was forced to move on.

News is out now that denver actually offered a better deal to KC for smith, but they didnt want to send him inner division.
They offered a 2nd rounder and aqib talib.

Now denver is all in on cousins. which will make them a contenter if they get him.

Reid must be confident in mahomes.

Yes and you do know the reason why he didn't want to play in Washington. It Was the insulting contract they offered him as a tier 1 QB. I recall reading about it and no QB in their right mind would of singed it, then to add insult to it Redskins brass hold a press conference basically calling Cousins out for not signing. What organization holds a press conference for the sole purpose of bad mouthing a player because he doesn't want to sign a below market value contract? Dan Snyder will never win a SB the way he runs that organization.

Mahomes was my guy in last years QB draft. I'm not unhappy with Trubisky but Mahomes has that gun slinger attitude that I like. Year 2 with Trubisky and Nagy will tell us a lot when he gets some help at WR. Mitch might be a great QB but difficult to know this year when all his talented WRs went down. I still think Gentry could be a very good WR if he develops in year 2. Quick, tracks long ball very well, well built, costs zip and Bears signed him so must think he can be useful.

You guys missed on Watson he looks like a once in a generation talent, a player that tilts the field.
Trubisky just looks like a guy, not someone you trade up to get.
I know Mo will say he's injured but once he recovers he'll be fine.
Jordan missed his first year with a bad ankle.

Watson played well. Looks like a good QB. Sample size small and he reminds me of RG3. and already one ACL for a mobile QB. Doesnt bode well. will see how it goes next year

If trubisky tore his ACL my hopes would be drastically reduced of his future.

I dunno how watson is in the film room. Or as a leader, both of which trubisky showed as a rookie. both of which are needed to be great.

Not sure what your just a guy comment means but a blind man can see his skill level is of #1 pick status. arm and legs are well above average.

The combination of being a rookie, no WR's, Ok line and scared to let him open up coaching, hindered his growth.

9 months with nagy and a revamped OL and WR core for next year will be the tell tale sign.

Wentz and trubisky had similiar numbers as rookies. Goff much worse. both of them had great year 2's. Rg3 great year one, poor year 2. year 2 is where you find out what you have for real. IMO Trubisky has it. and a year from now everyone will know.

You better hope Mo,,, you've pinned your future on an unknown commodity. I think he'll be solid,, special?? ehhhh,,,,
Dabo said before draft anyone passing on Watson is passing on the next Jordan. Prolly a little bias but,,,,he killed it when he was out there and it wasn't any of the read option crap. They basically went from the worst O to the best O in weeks. That's not a fluke.
I'll definitely give ya Mitch had no help on the field or off this year.

Diff between RG3 and Watson is gigantic.
RG3 couldn't read defenses,,, not too intelligent. Is small and did most his damage out of the run option pass. He didn't have 300-400 yard passing games like Watson did. Once teams figured out how to stop the read option and RG3 never picked up the nuisances of reading defenses the RG3 experiment was over. Being a Packers fan if you asked me who I wouldn't want to face for the next ten years,, I wouldn't have to bat an eye. We'll shall see that's why they play the game.

Wish I was going to be watching Wentz vs Brady this weekend. Just can't get too excited about Foles, he'll revert back to being Foles.
