Guys...it's not Bergland fault it's the DNR and or state police that are handing out the tickets. The note was sent to encourage and remind people to use the trail as opposed to the riding the highway. They want you/us there and don't want a stupid ticket deterring us from coming back.

old abe, I wanted to keep the situation cool and calm so next time we'll most likely be booked:) A week before that the curtains were tore down and someone took a leak on a mattress. Keep in mind this is a place we put over 75,000 dollars in and I know some of you have seen it. It's all about respect. I don't want this to become negative bashing, I simply want to shed light on why people become bitter with the sport. It's a great sport and great family fun, we just have to work together to keep it that way. Often there are times when members of a crew can step up and do the right thing by disciplining within their own group. That's something we need to start doing and it will go a long way with keeping the peace!!!!! You all know that when there's a uncomfortable situation that if someone in your group confronts on of their own for their actions that is defuses the situation right quick. I know it's hard to confront a friend sometimes or even a family member, but if they put you in that situation then shame on them.

Your right on Kip!!! I've just had my fill of this type CRAP, (ignorance/attitude). Seems like it's all over, and everywhere you go, now a days. I have never bought a sled from you Kip, but I would not hesitate have the time arrive. However, we do try to buy whatever else that we need from you on our trips to your area. Parts, gas, whatever it be.

Great. Does the trail go right to the gas station there in town? There's been a few times I have miss navigated my way off of Lake Gogebic and had to take a couple side streets (never the main highway) to get to the gas station, Bergland Bay Bar or JW's BBQ. Being such a popular snowmobiling destination they should allow sleds to access most areas to get to the trails like Ironwood does? Reminds me of Illinois.

It would help if they had signs showing the way to gas station. First time thru(2 years ago) we were looking for gas station, did we take some side streets looking, yep. How where we suppose to know where it is or that the trail along that street jus south of Bergland bay bar was the trail to gas station if you keep following it. We thought it was a trail thru town or down to the Lake. Alls we heard and knew was, the station is on the Highway.

When you dont know the area, and poor signage or no signs what do they expect.

I understand where they are coming from fortunately were in Trout lake and for the most part there are zero issues. But there are always the bad apples no matter where you go its gonna happen I've been cussed out for a guy getting stuck in the snow fence we out up out by the ice to keep the bad apples out of the yard. Mind you if was VERY VISIBLE lol we have all our gardens n so on out there and the only time I ride through is on the 4 wheeler to go out ice fishing and the fence goes right up behind me. I've had people knock on our door at 2 am asking for us to help get him unstuck from our plow mound all sorts of craziness oh well hopefully they do some better work on there signs we typically avoid that town whenever possible last 2 times we've gone into town got a ticket for a loud pipe and another for my buddy going over the speed limit. Which we were not but that's neither here nor there. Just my opinion hope everyone has a good night !!!!

Well Bergland many of us have said the same thing signage is not very good to the gas station and we have been lost in your town with zero intention to vary from marked trails. IMO marking is a problem and should be improved. I'm not saying this is the only answer to the problem but certainly is part of the problem.

I got pulled over by one of the fish cops last week because I was riding the shoulder on the highway. He was fair and friendly, let me go with a warning.

It is not easy to navigate around the town. Mud holes and lack of grooming have hurt riding in the area.

BTW, I am shocked by all the lights on the Officer sled. That thing could have lighted a long stretch of highway with Christmas colored lighting.

Holy cow Kip, so you rented those people the farm house and that's how they treated you?

What at heck is wrong with people?

Too many people have the attitude of " I'm on vacation, I can do whatever I want." The lack of respect is overwhelming.

It's called "entitlement." People now days think they are entitled to anything and everything. It doesn't matter what happens or what other people think, "They are entitled to do as they please." Skylar is spot on, NO RESPECT!
