Mjkaliszak,Skylar-thanks 4 the help. My dealer won't be happy. I think I will just use it in my sled, might be a little risky to use in the big green toys.

Skylar- I tried to pick the dumbest name I could think of in 30 seconds when I registered on here a few years ago...Luke Duke came to mind. To answer your question, Bo is probably changing Daisy,s oil!LoL

Hugo Chavez's company (Citgo-Venuzuelan)an enemy of the USA and known Communist. I'd stick with Amzoil rather than support that tin horn dictator.

Just cleaned the power valves on my wife's 2005 Polaris 600. 2500 miles all running S&S and they looked very good, only a light coating of carbon and they cleaned right up.

I can't believe what I am reading...
Before reading this.. you couldn't pay me to put a Citgo oil in anything I own. I am sure I still won't. I have a 4 Stroke sled, but my wife's is a 2.. and I am going to stick with Interceptor.
I am a Amsoil Preferred Customer. So I get about 20% off retail.
The Dominator is for racing... Interceptor is fine.. unless your truly racing.

FYI, for $20/year, you too can become a Amsoil Preferred Customer.
After $100 spent on oil.. your fee is paid off.

I just think an engine is pretty expensive to cut costs on oil.. although from what I have read.. this is pretty good proof this stuff is alright to use. Even though it is semi synthetic..
Sled MFG say.. use Full Synthetic only.. and your all running semi Syn.... Hmmmm...

Sorry Pauly, over 27,000 combined miles on sleds in my group over the last 5 years. No problems at all, none. If an oil meets or exceeds the highest standards in the oil industry, which Citgo Sea and Snow does, I will use it. Especially when it is 12-15 a gallon. If you want to keep using Amsoil, hey, that is great! By the way, you are right, the manufacturer's say to use full synthetic, they also say to use THEIR full synthetic.

Skylar,
I am not against you guys using it. My family got together and bought •••• gallon Drum of Interceptor about 4 years ago. ($17.50 a gallon) So I haven't been spending much more than you guys.
I also wasn't aware that it exceeded standards.. (as I am just learning of it)
Who knows.. when that drum runs out.. I'll start buying gallons of S&S...
Just surprised me.. as I didn't know this was out there.. and EVERYONE was using it.

Pauly-
Manufacturers recommended sythetic oil only after the variable exhaust engines came out. That oil was supposed to keep the valves cleaner vs. the semi-synthetic(the only reason). After all of the testimonials here I was convinced. Full synthetic= more $ for manufacture.

I am no fan of Citgo and refuse to buy their petroleum...I AM going to try a gallon of sea and snow this season to see how it sums up....
Does the AM in Amsoil come from Amway...Because Preferred customer sounds like B.S. to me

Here is a couple pics from my Yamaha Viper. I started the year off with clean powervalves..did my normal clean, and adjustments. Decided to run only Citgo Sea and Snow to see how clean it was. Have run Amsoil, Yamalube, Ski- doo oils in the past.... Put 1700 miles on without any mid season powervalve cleanings... first time ever...

First pic is straight out of cold sled... lots of lubrication there....

Second pic is after a wipe from a DRY rag..NO cleaners of any kind.... Humm... pretty darn clean if you ask me... back in the sled it goes.

Just bought 3 gallons at the Ottawa il F&F 12.95 per Gallon. Have an 07 Ski Doo Blizzard 800 Ho . I think I've read enough to give it a try. Can I get one more Ski Doo 800 HO owner that uses this product to testify. Almost Sold.

dodgerc, the AM in Amsoil is the first two letters of Amsoil's founders last name, , Amatuzio. They are in no way affiliated with Amway.
Pure synthetics have far more advantages than just clean power valves. It's a reduction in carbon forming around ring lands, reduction in friction on any of the moving parts be it bearings of pistons, colder pour points and flow points, etc. The bennefits of synthetic are noticeable in non-power valved sleds as well.

I'm just sayin....

Wow! I just realized I am really gonna save money especially when I take into account all my freeloading friends won't use my oil now! I might be able to buy another sled now!!

Luke, that is funny that you bring that up. EVERY first trip, we get up nort, and the first thing I hear from 2 guys is this: umm, hey, how much oil did you bring with you? YHTBFKM? They couldn't buy ONE gallon of oil in 8 freaking months! Now, I say yep, I brought enough along, 'cept, it's going to cost you 20 bucks for the gallon that I paid 12 for.

I bought a left over 09 renegade 800r, I never thought in a million years I would be considering Sea and Snow. I have used Amsoil in the past, but after reading these post I may be switching!!! My buddies dad swears by the Sea and Snow as well and I always give him a hard time!! I may be eating my own words!!!
