Wow looks like I have everyone fired up!! Sorry. Money is not an issue, if Sea and Snow was the same price or more than Ski doo oil I would still buy it, if I thought it was better. I just want to put whatever is best in my motor so when I am hammer down or am climing a hill I will feel comfortable that my engine is happy.. Still leaning towards Sea and Snow. Have a little over a month to make my mind up!•••• I am also a believer that if its goona blow up its gonna blow up wether its ski doo oil or Sea and Snow

brown50rn You are right on, I ran Amsoil in all my sleds then out of no were my 700 X Fire motor let go with 4000 miles. When you ride hard you never know on a 2 stroke. 3 things you don't talk about Politics, Religion, & 2 stroke oil.

Oh yeah longtrack, if it isn't expensive enough for a sled, it can't possibly pass the test for an e-tek....... •••?

Its really funny! The less people know about oil the more they are willing to spend on it! 10000 combined miles on citgo for me and a buddy without a single problem and cleaner valves then other buddies. Its just funny how many sheeple are suckered into paying so much for oil because of a good marketing campaign! People are so brainwahsed by the amsoil marketing that they even put the stickers all over there sled which i will never understand. I laugh when people spend more than 20bucks on gallon of oil. just bought 4 gallons for the year, total at FF was 47.16 plus tax.

P.S And for those of you worried about burndowns? They are almost never related to to oil in anyway.

I am no fan of citgo either, but I did some investigating on ethanol. And they "Citgo" are the only gas station that's not using it in their gas.

I too had reservations on using Citgo Sea & Snow oil, but I researched the quality of the oil first and then ran it the last 2 years in all 3 of my sleds. I just cleaned the RAVE valves in my 'doo yesterday and they were just as clean if not cleaner that when I ran other "performance oils". No problems with fouling plugs either, I'm sold.

just my .02

Happy (white) trails to all this year !

Well the debate for me is over, just got 4 gallons of Sea and Snow from Farm and Fleet on sale 12.99. My next question is I just picked up my new sled, it recommends 18 ounces of oil in the gas tank for the first tank. Anyone think it would be a bad idea to put Sea and Snow in the gas tank?? Will it mix with the Skidoo oil the dealer put in it?? I plan on running it down low the switching to Sea and Snow. Would I be wasting my time to empty the skidoo oil out?? I am an anal freak and sometimes do things that probably dont need to be done??? Thanks in advance

Get a turkey baster and pull 18-20 ounces out of your oil injection tank and add to your gas tank.

Run the skidoo oil until it gets low then remove the rest and refill with S&S.....

There is no problem with mixing Sea and Snow with other oils...if you want to see for yourself, just put some in a cup and give it a quick swirl.

Anyone actually had any problems with their sled directly related to oil (not including running out of it)?

Hey machzdoo...sounds like your just fishing for ways to try and keep up with that rocket Mach Z 800 Triple that your fast buddy rides. Just be content with following the triple power!!
