Got give it time Lenny. Reason most fail is they expect results over night. For me I know it takes at least 6 to 8 weeks for my body to start responding.
Part of reason I haven't weighed in recently, easy to get discouraged when scale doesn't move.
This past Saturday marked my 10th day in a row running 3 miles, took Sunday off and back at it.
Keep at it is the key.

I'm not discouraged with no results yet because the water thing is very good for me. I am training myself to eat less,,,,,its a struggle. I am determined to stay the course and discipline myself.

Good job Brent! Can't say I did any better mentally than last week, if I try I can manage for a day or two, but then I just don't feel like trying.... Didn't gain anything this week, in fact I dropped 2/10's so I'm 239.8. Not much to cheer about, but if I wouldn't have had that big bowl of ice cream and hot fudge at 9:00 last night it might have actually been better :)

201.2 this am, heading the right direction. Been drinking water only for 25 days now and have no intentions of turning back. Water is good and I have little to no digestion problems. Drinking just water has changed me in the "poop" department. No more big stinky steamer turds, now it's like milk dud droppings. I still have not disciplined myself as well for dinner and evening eating but had 4 good days since last week and need to build upon that discipline.

I've been reading my bible a lot lately and virtually everything we do is out of obedience so now that it's clear and fresh in my mind I honestly want to please not just myself but God first with taking care of myself.

James 4:17 "Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it." This is where we can receive strength,,,,,amen to that!!!!!!!

not to change the subject but since you guys are referencing the bible I was wondering if you knew that there is another bible twice as old as the one we know....its called THE TALES OF GILGAMESH....who in this story is noah....read tablet 11....just wondering your thoughts if you have read the tablets...really amazing and opens up new thoughts and avenues using the same people with different names...and even tells of the arks measurements and how to seal it up and to use cedar which grows in Lebanon. cedar when it touches salt water expands and seals up cracks also on its own....they still use the boat today....its called a CORACLE...somehow it lost a letter over time and is known as the ORACLE OF LIFE...because as the story goes you cannot sink a bowl...put huge waves at it and it only rides the wave face and never tips over....lots and lots of interesting stuff that I always tell people that study the bible that maybe they should be aware of this one too....theres about 6 bibles all of different times and cultures and separated by thousands of years that only a few people are aware of....but the story is all the same

that's odd....you didn't see any similarities in tablet 11....and the point is it was written 3000 years before the one you know and has the stuff that was left out...seems like leaving stuff out of story that you will live your life by is odd....but that's me....the storm lasted 6 days and nights in this one and his boat lodges on a mountain...oh well....it was just and FYI take it or leave it...and the Polynesians one is 3000 years before that one....would be nice to get the real story in the 1st version IMO before I live to a book....not getting on any of you

Tablet eleven[edit]

Gilgamesh observes that Utnapishtim seems no different from himself, and asks him how he obtained his immortality. Utnapishtim explains that the gods decided to send a great flood. To save Utnapishtim the god Ea told him to build a boat. He gave him precise dimensions, and it was sealed with pitch and bitumen. His entire family went aboard together with his craftsmen and "all the animals of the field". A violent storm then arose which caused the terrified gods to retreat to the heavens. Ishtar lamented the wholesale destruction of humanity, and the other gods wept beside her. The storm lasted six days and nights, after which "all the human beings turned to clay". Utnapishtim weeps when he sees the destruction. His boat lodges on a mountain, and he releases a dove, a swallow, and a raven. When the raven fails to return, he opens the ark and frees its inhabitants. Utnapishtim offers a sacrifice to the gods, who smell the sweet savor and gather around. Ishtar vows that just as she will never forget the brilliant necklace that hangs around her neck, she will always remember this time. When Enlil arrives, angry that there are survivors, she condemns him for instigating the flood. Ea also castigates him for sending a disproportionate punishment. Enlil blesses Utnapishtim and his wife, and rewards them with eternal life. This account matches the flood story that concludes the Epic of Atrahasis (see also Gilgamesh flood myth).

The main point seems to be that when Enlil granted eternal life it was a unique gift. As if to demonstrate this point, Utnapishtim challenges Gilgamesh to stay awake for six days and seven nights. Gilgamesh falls asleep, and Utnapishtim instructs his wife to bake a loaf of bread on each of the days he is asleep, so that he cannot deny his failure to keep awake. Gilgamesh, who is seeking to overcome death, cannot even conquer sleep. After instructing Urshanabi the ferryman to wash Gilgamesh, and clothe him in royal robes, they depart for Uruk.

As they are leaving, Utnapishtim's wife asks her husband to offer a parting gift. Utnapishtim tells Gilgamesh that at the bottom of the sea there lives a boxthorn-like plant that will make him young again. Gilgamesh, by binding stones to his feet so he can walk on the bottom, manages to obtain the plant. Gilgamesh proposes to investigate if the plant has the hypothesized rejuvenation ability by testing it on an old man once he returns to Uruk.

'There is a plant that looks like a box-thorn, it has prickles like a dogrose, and will ***** one who plucks it. But if you can possess this plant, you'll be again as you were in your youth'
'This plant, Ur-shanabi, is the "Plant of Heartbeat", with it a man can regain his vigour. To Uruk-the-sheepfold I will take it, to an ancient I will feed some and put the plant to the test!'[12]
Unfortunately, when Gilgamesh stops to bathe, it is stolen by a serpent, who sheds its skin as it departs. Gilgamesh weeps at the futility of his efforts, because he has now lost all chance of immortality. He returns to Uruk, where the sight of its massive walls prompts him to praise this enduring work to Urshanabi.

Tracker, don't think your the first one to try an persuade me that the Bible is inferior and lacking. Human nature may struggle and reason with what you call "incomplete" but I have faith that what I have is sufficient.

Thanks anyways for your efforts!

actually you guys seemed knowlegable about it and I was going to ask you some questions to compare to the stories that's all....didn't know it would upset you. Its hard to find anyone to discuss with as feeling always get in the way...as stated I just was wondering if you heard about the others....carry on with dieting and try not to get offended over a question....never said anything was inferior

here a song I always revert to...SITTING IN LIMBO...MY FAITH WILL LEAD ME ON....ENJOY
