Tell that to the union airline workers from UAL and U.S Airways who saw their pension plans terminated along with 5.2 billion dollars in benfits lost.

Keep drinking the cool aid. Of course that is what they tell you. A lot can happen between now and your retirement.

Union and education???

Comments like the above are why people have no sympathy for union workers who go on strike.
It shows the education level of most union workers!!

Teachers union is one of the largest and most powerful! Uneducated, I think not!!

Nafta

North American Free Trade Agreement has nothing to do with over seas third world countries, The North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA is an agreement signed by the governments of Canada, Mexico, and the United States, creating a trilateral trade bloc in North America. The agreement came into force on January 1, 1994. It superseded the Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement between the U.S. and Canada. In terms of combined purchasing power parity GDP of its members, as of 2007[update] the trade bloc is the largest in the world and second largest by nominal GDP comparison.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) has two supplements, the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC) and the North American Agreement on Labor Cooperation (NAALC).

Guaranteed. Thats a big word in this day and age. You may want to check in with reality. And maybe the Union can help with your spelling. Nothing is Guaranteed. Not trying to be tough but others are in servival mode and if Walmart is what they are doing to make it than God Bless.

I am glad the union did the right thing. Take it from a guy who has not had a raise in 6 years, had my health insurance cost double ( resulting in a 1$ an hour pay cut) no more Christmas bonus, no incentive bonus, and mandatory weekly lay offs, BUT WHO IS STILL EMPLOYED, sometimes you have to sacrifice for the good of the company, and to keep your job.

you guys have short memories. You can thank the Republicans just as much for NAFTA. Granted Clinton signed it but Bush was responsible for getting the ball rolling and pushing for it.

I love how much power you guys give these unions, you make it sound like their running the company.

Interesting.... looks like more Republicans voted for it than Democrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read the Jungle Book a couple of times, but there was nothing about Unions in there. Just something about a young boy and his friend that was a bear.
