Best dealer in my area will only take 300 off of MSRP on a spring check.
Yeah - and there is a conclusion to be drawn from that. They have you, and they know it - you're dealing from a position of weakness. I snow checked one time, about 20 years ago.Best dealer in my area will only take 300 off of MSRP on a spring check.

just curious, how much money do you think your dealer made in your new 850 sled?I agree. the poo "felt" more powerful. yup thats what happens when you have deep lugs and low gearing. A summit feels more powerful than a mxz everytime. Put them side by side and the mxz slingshots by it, baring deep snow conditions. I expect the 850 to be at least a few sled lengths ahead of a good running 800etec. But the chassis improvements are what i am most excited about. I havent had any issues with the rotax 800s so i expect the same from that, but as far as sitting on this thing, it feels like a dirtbike, so narrow in comparison to the XS. I cant wait till next winter!

Should be able to get about $1,000 off MSRP (give or take a few hundred) off a 2017 850 plus another $250 off if you decline the fourth year warranty and settle for three years. That is with no shenanigan set up fees etc. If the sled is $12,699, you should be able to buy for $12,699 minus the $1,000 minus the $250 for declining the 4th year warranty for a total of $11,449 plus tax and registration (no set up fees period).
If you cant get that deal, keep looking and NEVER buy from that Dealer again!

do you guys buy at lowest dollar amount and switch dealer time to time or stick with same dealer and pay fair amount. Does you guys use same dealer for service?Unless you are the owner or bookkeeper all is just website speculation. Dealer will tell you they are not making money at X amount and then 3 months later in mid season, your same sled can be had for X-$2000. I would speculate that MSRP represents build cost +100% cushion. Maybe the dealer sees little of that cushion but that all falls on the manufacturer. From what I have seen the dealerships are happy to have an opportunity to get a hold of the deeply rebated and discounted sleds mid season and move them for the sled maker. ...At least the one I dealt with is because there website inventory was constantly changing these past 2 seasons.
What does it matter? Either a dealership understands customer service or they don't. To me customer service starts as a great selling price. As has been shown with the deep discounts this year, MSRP and so called "invoice" is a joke. The mannies need to get real and treat their dealerships right.do you guys buy at lowest dollar amount and switch dealer time to time or stick with same dealer and pay fair amount. Thanks for the info.I filled out the "interested for a Dealer call-back" on the Ski-Doo website and the local Dealer in Appleton near the Fox River Mall called me back with a price.
Based on my past purchases there, they usually have 1-$200 left to negotiate once they give a price (10k+ sled, bike, UTV etc.).
Excellent fellas too for service if you buy there.

Etec's require rebuilds and piston replacements. I wouldn't ride one if it was given to me. All the guys I ride with have had burn downs . They still buy them and I'm not sure why. Is the fuel economy and oil economy worth rebuilds after 3-5,000 miles? I think not. Now a two piece crank, lol
