The track does have quiet track technology (little bridges where the bogey wheels run) all bogey bearings are good i repacked each and every one of em. I will check over everything closer tomorrow. Maybe I'll have to relocate some bogey wheels.

but it didn't do this in your 700? as long as your wheels/idlers/etc have been reassembled properly, it shouldnt be doing this.

are the wheels and idlers tracking properly?

they all seem to be. It didnt do it on my 700 and it didnt do it on this 500 before with the old track. Could I have too much grease in there causing them to not spin freely enough? Could I have overtightened the rear wheels? It's obvious that the rear wheels move a lil bit everytime it does this. So i figured my track tension must be bad so i kept playing with it and it did nothing.

All of your wheels are spinning right? I just looked at your video again...your rear wheels are turning. Too much grease anywhere isn;t causing this....

Bear with me as I try to describe something......on the back wheel assy....on each side of both rails there's these black (?) plastic "spacers" that fit into the rails.....on the outer one, your track tension bolt tightens against it.......check to see that all four (I think you have them on the inside....outside for sure) of them are properly seated into the rails. They have square shaped ends if memory serves.

Are your rails parrallel?

the wheels spin good. rails are parallel as should be. I will check the black plastic spacesr, one might not be seated right on it as you said. thanks for the help groomerdriver

What year 500 is it?..

On the Polaris fiche for a 04 500 it's called an Idler Spacer and there are 4 of them...2 inside and 2 outside.

I made some adjustments and it still did it so I rode it around in the grass and i pulled into the garage and put it on the stand and it doesn't make the noise anymore lol.

track tension. The track still slapped the slides so i took it for a spin in the yard, hopped er back up in the air and no more slapping of the slides....???

You adjusted the track tension AFTER the ride in the yard? or before?

But it was doing it during several tries at adjusting the tension right?

Something likely moved into place. I would look your skid over VERY carefully.

I adjusted the tension slightly before even starting it up. I started it up, ran on stand, still did it, rode in yard, it was good. Something had to have snapped into place.

It's the "something had to have snapped into place" part about the deal that would have me looking VERY closely at the skid.

I have and I see nothing... I've taken plenty of skids in and out and have half disassembled a dozen of em, and fully disassembled 4 of them (every nut and bolt out to clean and paint stuff) I don't see anything wrong and don't know what made it stop doing it.

If you're happy kid I'm happy...good luck and I hope this is the last of the issue.

u just needed to ride it and stretch track out when track sits folded it wants to stay that way track wanting to stay in that position caused slide slapping motion

I think I see the problem....
Totally joking. Had to do it.

I swapped the powervalves, fixed the clicking problem for 5 min. then clicking away it went again. They do have minor wear marks on them. Don't know if I want to spend $150 just so I don't hear the noise anymore?
