Just got off the phone with the "Angry American" they said it will be fine. I have been by there with bare ground at Lava Mtn. Lodge and neck deep farther up. I have a plan. What are you guys bringing out for sleds. A 144x2 600 will work. Had my son on a 136x1.5 Renegade and he did okay if he poached His lines.

Wayne ive got a 136x1.5,our other buddy has the same, and raceyf7 has a 2012 high country with a 141x2 so we are good. I'm starting to get excited abouit going, this is my first time out west and the other two also.

Really? Well we will have Hero snow and your heads will swell up! You have a beacon, shovel and probes for each of you? I have snowbunjes and just about everything else and can share. GPS will work great if you got one, bring it. Any questions PM or email me. (Both in profile).

We got here about 10AM (Lava) and being we could not check in just yet we headed bout 1/2 way up and unloaded ..Rode for maybe 3 hours . Lots of Snow the trails we hit was in great shape ...Snow is like Ice Slush off the trails...We are now back at Lava just hanging out ......Was up in Restaurant and Approx 8 sleds come in from up at Brooks so they rode the ditch here ..From what I saw when we drove up there is very little snow from here to Brooks lake road just enough to get you there..We are here til Thursday morning so we didnt feel we had to rush into it :)

They are on their way back from Island Park.

We ran into the Mom's crew at the cemetary parking lot north of West Yellowstone last week (Wednesday the 13th). They were pretty appreciative of our help getting their red Ford Crewcab and 6 place unstuck. We were the only others in the lot and had a white Ford F250 w/4 place.

The snow was fun (it always is) but we had to travel to find the fresh - and even that was getting set up and the best snow was in the trees.

I just got home late last night from an 8 day trip to 3 states/riding areas or I'd have mentioned it last week.

Thanks again! From Rob and Jacob.
Always happy to help fellow sledders;)

The parking lot wasn't that bad - it was just a comination of mushy snow and ALMOST enough speed - if they had a 4-place it never would have happened but the 6-place needed more room to turn around. Chains weren't needed at this time of day - but later on, after riding, we stopped at the Hi-Country accross the street and chains would have helped driving through the 12" of slush in their lot - but everyone did make it through there that had 4WD.

Snow was awesome yesterday ...We rode out of the Tog Parking Lot and decided to leave our trailers up there for today ...Some Friends rode near and around Brooks and also reported great snow there ....Thinking oh maybe anywhere from 5 to 10 new Inches of snow on the mountain ...Snow is still here at Lava but there aint much ...But enough for you guys to ride from here along the road up to Brooks lake
