well if it works it works guess I should rethink this whole thing.
think if i pay 27 bucks the poop wont soak through as fast as with my 2.99 Haynes? they are black so the neighbors wont laugh as hard when drying the laundry on the line in the back yard any more

BTW that is the same reasoning my wife gives me when she comes home from the Louis vuitton store. that and but it is so cute and the best made.
and I am fine hauling my stuff in a old plastic Menard's bag hay it works

Bought my Klim bibs cause I was tired of my butt being soaked every time I ride.
My Arctic stuff sucked! By the way, I got them on sale pretty cheap about five years ago. I love em. Polaris won't screw them up. They are a smart co.

LOl, maybe if your wife did not go to the Louis Vuitton store, whatever the **** that is, you would have the money for 27 dollar underwear, besides, you can get 'em for 20 bucks! lol.

Same thing with me and my polaris gear. WET but every stinkin ride. Last weekend while puddle jumping all my buddies were soaked and my low-line motorfist gear (non e-vent) kept my dry as can be.

but every parking lot princess needs a pr of View attachment 36127 $27 crap catchers.
A fool and his money.

Not sure if you have a Meijer store near you. 10 pack of fruit of the loom whitey tighties for $10. Klim wear rules!!! I have it and it works! Wasted a lot of money on the lesser brand crap over the years. If you take snowmobiling as serious as some of us it is a no brainer to buy the "Good stuff". I bet you buy good tools for work???? No difference.

Only time will tell how this will play out. We can only hope that the separation will remain between Polaris and Klim products. It is not easy. In today's world the odds are not stacked on the side of Klim only seeing positive influence from Polaris. You take the good with the bad in an marriage. They are now part of a bigger entity and no matter how hard they try, that connection is there. It comes down the executive management and shareholders and what they want and are a willing to do. My work experience is unfortunately the negative of this. We were acquired and I have watched our leaders slowly change over the last 12 years. The bottom line it is the shareholder returns that matter..... period. If we experience another 2009, Klim will be part of Polaris and what Polaris decides to do to get through it. For my experience, we had to cut, cut, cut, cut, so that the company kept it profit targets. The task was not a mix of cuts and reduced profit margin, it was do what you have to in order to NOT reduce the profit margins (one way street). Everything was fair game if it helped maintain the profit targets. This is the way much of the corporate world is heading and where it is at. I have been in engineering for 28 years and have watched it change drastically in that time. How many of you have heard "Do More with LESS" so many times it makes you sick. This thinking kills innovation because the people you have, and rely on, end up barely being able to keep their heads above water to just be able to maintain day to day requirements. My project reviews with management over the years have gone from Project reviews to Financial Reviews! The primary concern is not the technical issues but the financial status and if you are on track. Even before we launch a new product we have to submit our list of actions to management to reduce the internal cost to increase the financial return.

Don't get me wrong, financial responsibility is a very important part of keeping a company healthy and around for a long time. Like anything though you need to keep the Pendulum in the middle and keep balance. That will be the challenge for Klim and Polaris.

Lets hope that what got Klim to what they are today is left alone. If it is then they will continue to provide the same great stuff we all like. If they are not, then time will tell what happens. Probably not good.

As for Doo and Cat, they are going to have a real hard time to put their money to the bottom line of Poo so Klim has challenge ahead. How does Klim keep from losing this business? Provide something Doo and Cat cannot get anywhere else.

Your last line needs some more thought in it. How can Doo and Cat harm Klims sales? The dealer decides what they want to sell. Most dealers sell multi brands. Besides who buys Klim from a dealer? Isn't most Klim sold in Mail order catalogs, snow shows and from online sites anyways. Klim does provide something Doo and Cat can not get anywhere else already.

Houghton Power Sports sells Klim, The Engelhart Center near me in Madison sells Klim, and Motorfist, and Johnson sales, another dealer near me, sells Klim also.

Yep I was a part of a big S&P company that was always looking at Tech to buy. Upper Management was "Welcome aboard & all that happy horse poo "tell me how wonderful you are & why we were so smart to buy you?" "Oh yes you are really smart people & by the way pick your pink slip up on your way out we can take it from here". I was like "come on keep them on for at least a year might be some really good people here that will fit in well". Nope not part of the deal "we will all do more with less" & bump up bottom line & absorb this tech. I'm like CRAP you already pumped up the bottom line simply by buying them. I'm still open on this deal with wait & see but really not the way Scott Wine thinks as very familar with his biz background of outsourcing & top grading. Not doubt this will result in increased profits for Polaris stockholders.

Yep that is a distribution marketing opportunity OEMs really not concerned at all. Other snomo OEMs might be thinking Klim diliutes Polaris in market that they know very little but want & have to be there for other divisons. Just like Harley with HOG ware & really who is Polais worried about Doo & AC ...hardly.lol Harley & Yamaha Corps keep Polaris up at night not sled biz just a sideline biz these days for Polaris & Yamaha.

What did you have Arctic Cat? Was that 10 plus years ago? My Klim coat is great but so is my FXR coat I bought. Come to think of it I haven't noticed my 4 other sledding friends saying nothing but good things about Arctic Cat gear. I have never noticed them shivering in a snow bank. The Arctic Cat bibs I wear have been nothing but Outstanding!! There is no performance difference I notice between the two.

Congrats for Klim and the owner. I would probably have done the same, but that warm fuzzy story doesn't mean I have to patronize Polaris...isn't that what Klim is now, Polaris-Klim?

I had a polaris coat and bibs 20 years ago that gave me monkey-butt. I also had a ski-doo snow suit that was terrible compared to today's standards

Correct. Dealers near me sell klim also. It has a great profit margin, but dealers sell many other brands and different brand sleds, that's what I am referring to. Dealers main bread and butter is not klim wear. It is just another product line they sell. I purchased most my Klim gear in the Togwotee gift shop during hill climb week.
