well one in our crew ordered a new set of $649 bibs before we left last week direct from klim website .
3 days of ridding and the leg zipper busted will not stay shut.
went to the local dealer in Kremmling he called attempted to get them to give him a new set/swap out with new pr of floor. they looked up the order saw when ordered and still no return . but if u sent them 2 us we will fix and send back . yeah that is great if u are not 15hrs from home with only 1 set of the "new superior quality" bibs.
tell u what even though it was not me I will never buy again after screwing my bud and the better part of my and the other guys morning ride.

any more questions about customer service after acquisition .

There isn't a single $649 bibs available on their site?

I think their stuff is awesome but sometimes I wonder if they are just trying to figure out the absolute most someone will pay for something. Who will be the first to buy a $1,000 pair of bibs? I suppose if you have a $14,000 snow toy in a $20,000 trailer behind a $40,000 truck it's just a rounding error...

if a bad zipper ever takes more than 15 minutes away from my ride, just take alla my chit away....I don't deserve it.....what is duct tape for anyways?....if the guy is fashion crazy, they even make duct tape in designer colors....

as far as some folks slammin gawd aweful amounts a $$ into sleddin products ...like $600 bibs goes, I just shake my head at how many can't find the $25.00 it takes to become club members.

I will say I am a very happy klim customer. I have their bibs, jacket and gloves. At a recent packer game that was very wet, all of my body was dry, except my hands. They were soaked. I spoke with a klim customer service. She said mail them in and they will test, which I did. They leaked for them as well. Sent me a new pair of gloves, no other questions asked. The gloves had 2 or 3 seasons of hard riding on them. Can't complain with that.

well duct tape is not going to keep your whole leg closed for a day of deep snow ridding I . a trip to a ski shop for cheep bibs was a better rout .
and he is a bard member . I also like the stuff I have from them but I am done

No doubt , Klim makes a great product, I just can't justify the cost, but overall I'd agree they are probly worth it. That being said, from what I am hearing on the cust. service and warranty side, not so impressive....:"send in your item for TESTING"....like we don't believe you????? what's that all about?....do they think their cust. base complains for fun about their product failing? You might get 1 in 1000 customers with an "i'm gonna get me some free replacement stuff" idea, but I doubt them folks are a Klim level customer.....LOL
Only Klim product I own is an Arctic balaclava. The stitching came out around the plastic that holds the nose flap open.....had the little woman throw a couple stitches in it and good as new again.

hey I get it send in your stuff so we can fix it on a yr old garment no prob . not when verifiable on your own system a week old product knowing your consumer is 3 states from home. u have one of your retailers giving u the run down. u know the only reason they would not just swap out with out a call first is if they also got burned by the u should have just sent in the stuff to us to fix .
not the end of the world but not cool

I once contacted them about fixing a zipper on a 8-9 yr old pair of pants and I was willing to pay for it. They said to send them in for repair and they called me about a week later, said they did the water test on them and found they were no longer waterproof so they sent me a brand new pair in exchange. I thought that was great customer service as I had never said anything about waterproof issues.

Look at those warranty costs & then ask yourself is Klim worth the retail price or am I getting sucked in by marketing. Nothing comes for free all warranty costs are built in suggested retail price. Up to you & your buying habits but plenty of good sofrware out there for sale.

That is awesome CS right there....just don't like the down time aspect of it....sleddin season is too short.
Your good experience leads me to believe that maybe Klim has a bad egg in the customer service dept and ezras bud was a victim. Ezras bud needs to followup and let Klim know what happened.

I've seen numerous reports of them replacing "8-9 year old" merchandise that no longer met their standards; that's well above and beyond the typical "warranty" service these days, if true. (What is it, a lifetime warranty?)

It just might not be a bad idea for them to do such "forensic" testing — (an autopsy?) to learn something about the failure, and if it turns out to be a production/manufacturing process issue, then fix that problem for better product reliability from future production runs. (Yes, it's a damn inconvenience when the failure occurs out in the boonies.)

It was the middle of summer for me. It broke on about my last ride of the yr so I had no issue with the down time.

>stop carving up my quotes or i'll sue you in small brains court!!!!<

They can inspect the corpse all they want, just make sure the customer gets back on trail first if it is in season. That's all I am saying. If you didn't carve up my quote during YOUR examination, my point was clear.....do you also freelance for MSNBC?....LOL
