Loud cans

Really, no need to race around in Krupp's field while you wait for gas, with your stupid loud can on your team slednecks stickered up sled. The people who live right across the street are sick of it. USE SOME COMMON SENSE!

Tells us how you really feel Skylar. I have never seen you get this upset about Slednecks stickers before.

Are you having a bad Skylar? I didn't know a snowmobiler could get sick of hearing sleds. I hope you day gets better!

When they pull into the gas stations & it hurts my ears inside my helmet you got to think they are brain dead. I never look up act like stock sled exhaust won't give them the attention they crave. Hate it!

Loud cans are single most annoying thing non-snowmobilers complain about. Loud cans close trails. They are outlawed in Wisc for a reason. They should be outlawed everywhere. The only benefit is a very minimal weight loss. For the average rider this weight loss could easily be made up by losing a few lbs off your own body.

X 2 on someone that lives right next to a trail. Take it easy near residential areas and We will keep our sport respectable

I hear ya, was at the Lando BP the other day and was surprised to be able to right to the pump then after a few minutes 15 sleds were swarming the place brapping like mad and going in every direction. The cans were one thing but the way they were going in every direction did not make sense as they were criscrossing, go back and forth and did not even seem like they were there to fill up...

well I am not over 60 my **** is not that short but I have never owned a sled with a stock pipe set up.but then I don't brap it up around town.my current slp pipe can set up is actualy not that loud I can here my buds stockers when ridding side buy side.some are worse than others most of the legit pipe set ups now days do pass the legal decable mark. that said the worst part of the just a can thing is most of them lose HP on efi sleds if all you are doing is slapping on a can.

Loud Cans

Agree with Skylar, I live in Houghton on top of the hill. Last 2 nights sleds crossing the canal from the Ramada to Houghton beach and doing dougnuts on the ice for a least an hour.
Same sleds, one with a can and 1 with a pipe set. Both stupid loud. Absolutely no reason for this.

What every happened to the DNR sitting on the trail with a sound meter? I remember years ago on the trail out side of Wake field (UP) they were sitting up by the RR crossing, and would measure the sled DB level. Lots of tickets back then. This was around 1997. Is it not a law in UP any more?
I just love the sound of the new 4 stroke low rumble. Now to my ears that is cool.

Have you looked out the window lately fusionfool? There's a lack of snow this season. The DNR writing tickets? That's all the U.P. needs. Driving more dollars out of the region. I agree with Skylar somewhat. It's fun to listen to them if it's on others sleds. I rode one weekend piped up and sold them the next for a loss.I think my ears are still ringing. For skylar, listening to his neighbors bi#%h doesn't sound too appealing either. Tough buisness to be in putting up with Mowhawks and cans! Sorry Indy, no disrespect.

Not sure what brand cans are stupid loud, but there are some that have no place other than a race track. SLP makes a very good can that wont make your ears bleed. I have gone thru many DNR check points with SLP and no issue. What gets me is the guy who wears ear plugs to ride his pile of noise. They even have color coordinate ear plugs. Figure that out?!

I know what you mean, I see plenty of harley riders with their loud azz pipes wearing ear plugs also. LOL.
