old ones were br9es i put in br8es last night, now it starts up on 1 pull EVERY time, but it doesnt look like it used to no more...

Careful there Indy. You don't want to get bit by that vintage bug. I had some buddies messing around with vintage iron and I just shook my head. Now I've got over 20 of the darn things and love it.

See all the posts I have? lol almost 2000 over there. I never went on there at all in the winter, but i'm slowly coming back. I saw that garage, it was pretty sweet. I like Jack olsen's, his is very simple, organized, and has a classic look. Ever wonder why I have so much tools?
I can't wait, we plan on adding onto the garage, but the town keeps telling us we're not allowed because the satellite photo of our house shows we don't have enough room and they won't send anybody out so we can show them we DO have room.And yes, I do get stuff done! But then again, the thing is so darn easy to work on! Mechanics back then should've gotten paid $5 an hour.

She's coming along. Would've got more done if I didn't have to mow the lawn! Darn rivets on the right footwell are a pita!!! Ski's don't wanna come off either, out of all things, I can't get the ski's off? lol I just can't believe how nice the tunnel looks. I can't wait to polish it, the first sled I get to polish the tunnel! The belly pan was falling off the tunnel, I rebolted it on in the left footwell, and re-riveted the bulkhead onto the tunnel so it looks nicer.

I still have a Fusion that needs a good cleaning and polishing, greasing, etc., once you run out of things to do.

Well, when all the rivets are hanging loose, and are rusty, It's kind of a good idea to replace most of them! lol Still need to get rear suspension apart. I got a few small parts painted last night. I'm leaving the hood the way it is, but painting pretty much everything else. I have tons of rattle cans, I have $80 into it so far. Will probably be $100 before I'm done. Fuel pump rebuild kit and slides should be here today. Can't wait to get some parts painted cat green! It should look good.

Doesn't look like I got much done today, but I felt I did. Rivets are a pain in the butt! Got the last 4 rivets out and bolded the belly pan back onto the tunnel (it was falling apart) on the left footwell and I got all the rivets out of the right side footwell along with the foot well off and painted up. I also put back together the snow flap and rear bumper. I got the piece above the snow flap painted black, and the snow flap came from acatzl550, thanks man! The old one has seen its better days. My camera really makes this thing look rustier than what it really is... This thing is getting all new aluminum rivets and grade 5 bolts pretty much everywhere. Are they strong enough? maybe, but the old ones were 5/32" and i upgraded all of them to 3/16". Slides and fuel pump rebuild kit came today. Old slides were missing a chunk lol! Still only $80 into this thing including purchase price, and probably $20 in gas running to fleet farm 4 times LOL! I just hope that if I do end up selling it, that I can get at least $200 for it.
