I think the game will continue to evolve. Speaking of quarterbacks, what was once a Pocket Passing player has morphed into a run and pass position like Wilson and Mahomes. There's over 250 Division 1 programs turning out quarterbacks each year yet only a handful make it to the top like Brady and Rodgers. I find that odd as you would think there would be more good ones. I suppose coaching has something to do with it such as an early Favre in Atlanta. Also luck plays a roll such as injuries and just being in the right place at the right time to be noticed. Nobody offered Rodgers a scholarship and Brady was what, a 6th rounder? I think football will be just fine, it's going to change like everything else but it'll be just fine.

They should but they won't. Football is going to be different in a few short years.

This is because teams will start doing what the NBA does - tanking to get the #1 pick - just look at Miami, they are doing it this year.

Bears will be starting over at QB next year.

I agree unless Trubisky improves vertically starting Monday night against Washington. Usually a QB is a born accurate passer talent can’t teach accuracy. Mitch seemed to throw darts in year 1 and still can sling the football but too often way off the target and not catchable. Imo use Trubisky leg skills if he gets hurt he gets hurt let Daniel play QB if that happens. Unfortunately I think the O is on the brink of losing faith in the Mitch to score points make first downs grind it out football. If not improving bench the guy let #2 play. Too much offensive talent on the Bears to waste on Trubisky if he can’t get it going.

Like Grub said, drafting is a crap shoot and it is apparent that the Bears drafted the wrong guy. Its really tough to dig yourself out of a bad #2 pick who was supposed to be your franchise QB. Teams spend millions upon millions scouting their draft picks for not more than a 50/50 chance of success but picking Mitch hurts even worse with the defense the Bears have and the success of Mahomes and such. That one bad pick might be costing the Bears multiple SB appearances. He just needs to be average and a game manager for the Bears to win.....what a depressing statement that is. If you dump Mitch you are starting all over in the SB window the Bears believe they have and finding a replacement would be tough. Not sure they have the gustu to pull that off.
Fun fact i heard on 670 the score today...the Bears defense have only allowed teams to convert a third down play 5 times this season!

If Mitch don't put up 20 on the skins on Monday he's gonna have a mutiny on his hands in that locker room. Washington stinks.
Only so many games the D is going to hold a team to 10 points before they start pointing fingers.

If I’m Nagy I give Mitch first half against Washington if cold as ice again Daniel goes in 3rd quarter see how he performs in 2nd half to put up points. Enough of waiting for Mitch to blossom he needs to get hot or bench his a$$.

After three games the QB's are really starting to show who has it and who doesn't. This is Mitch's time to show who he is against a very beatable team, no excuses. The QB's that snobuilder listed were definitely impressive this week and Mahommes is just fun to watch. I believed that the Bears defense could take them to the SB but after watching some of the teams this week I am not so sure about that. Definitely a great defense but this is an offensive league, not sure you can limit some of these offenses week in and week out, especially during a one and done playoff system. Tonight should be a W but next week vs the Vikes will be a very important game, cant go down 2 games in the NFC North.

Bears beat Washington easily but should have been a blow out if Trubisky could hit open receivers. Bears can’t beat the better NFL teams if Trubisky can’t improve accuracy in tight windows. I’ll give Mitch a few more games but starting to look like a HUGE NFL BUST at QB so typical of past Bears QBS. Disappointing to say the least.

Curious to see how many actual passes he had that traveled more than 12 yards and how many he completed. The one to Gabriel was a great pass.
Nagy does alot to cover for him with what seemed like 20 three yard attempts. I didn't watch the 2nd half. Redskins are a dumpster fire.

Next 13 weeks: Redskins vs Dolphins...neither are a real NFL team. Just a word of advice for Washington, blocking Mack might be a good idea. Bears got what they needed. Mitch made one great pass to Gabriel and the rest were easy, low yardage passes. Was hoping they would have went downfield a little more, Mitch did seem to lock into receivers. Thought Keenum was going to get killed. Next week is a big test for Bears with the Vikes. 2 great defenses and 2 iffy QB's, neither team can afford to go down 2 games in the NFC North.

When looking at where he was drafted Mitch is no doubt a bust but he can still win games due to their defense. Bears set themselves back and put themselves in a much more difficult position by drafting Mitch instead of Mahommes or Jackson, but hindsight is 20/20 (but they do pay millions on scouting!) After 30 games and you have to coddle a # 2 draft pick, no bueno. All the Bears are asking is for a average QB to manage the game.....thats not what you want out of a #2 draft pick.

Trubisky threw one good pass that was more luck than talent. He never looks off defenders. He is not getting any better. Game manager at best. Best trade of last 3 years was the Mack trade. Without Mack there is no Bear D. Without Bear D there is no 2018 divisional championship. The Bears might win a few more divisional championships until Mack wears out but they will never win a Superbowl with their existing offense. Once they play a real coach in AFC with a real offense they will get never be able to keep up. The AFC will be a combination of New England and KC until Brady retires. Then it will just be KC. Mahomes is magical. And he never seems to take a hit. He is going to be around a long time.

I am going to agree with you Grub. With the way the NFL wants this to be an offensive league I don't think a defense, even as good as the Bears, can win a championship without a good offense. The Bears defense could probably limit the scoring of KC or NE but probably not enough to overcome the lack of offense they have. Great offenses don't turn the ball over like a garbage Redskins team.

Mitch is a bust. The bears failed with him. How many games has he started and he cant look off defenders, he cannot throw from the pocket, and lets be honest here, he's not even a good game manager. He can run, which clearly the bears dont want him doing, and he is ok at throwing on the run.

When its all said and done in 5 years, yes I think he will most likely be out of the nfl in 5 years, he will be a bigger bust then Tony Mandrich.....

To bad he's not a headcase like Ryan Leaf, that would be fun to watch.....lol
