Well - finally got my payroll sent off today - I was kicked out of my system more times b/t yesterday and today then I have in all 4 years I've been here! The best part - my IT guys AND ADP (my software provider) can't figure out the problem! Gotta love computers - NOT!!!!
Is it 5 o'clock yet?? I want to go home and have a drink!!! GRRRRR

It has been one week and one day since my interview. The recruiter hasn't heard a word from the company. He thought this was an exclusive... he had 4 positions to fill and they asked him for 2 candidates for each position. All 8 people interviewed Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
They told me in the interview that they would make their decision by Thursday - then we had the traffic stopping dusting of snow and all their voicemails said they were out of the office at an all day off site meeting. On Friday NOTHING... Monday and Tuesday of this week... no return calls to the recruiter.
All I can say is that is the most disrespectful thing a company can do. To tell the candidates they will be making their decisions very quickly an then NEVER get back to them OR the recruiter.
I am so tired of being kicked in the teeth. I'm so over this crap. WHY can't I land at job!?

Use that aggression to come up with an idea NO ONE came up with.
Then,...put it to good work, and open a factory here by me, and land
ME a job also. You become a multi-Zillionaire, and I get a paycheck!)

The ONLY way I will hear how I did, is "IF" I get called for an interview.
Or in other words,.... Don't hold my breath.
I would not be shocked if I got 90% or better on the test,... and on the same hand,
I would not be shocked if I got that same percentage wrong! LOL!
there were 160 people there taking a test. (some for DNR positions,...)
Just wish if a person applied, had a good resume', and was honest,.... businesses would
give you an interview, and let you know face to face what your odds were.
THEY hold ALL the cards.
Like the old saying goes "As long as ya work for da man, You'll never BE da man".
I'm going to force myself to lose 200 pounds, and join the circus as the "skin man".
Should get a Lot of tips! Maybe sing a little bit also,... Hmmmmmmmm.)
The economic future for us "over 35 and looking" doesn't bode well.

I didn't get the job. The company told the recruiter that they changed the job requirements and I am no longer a candidate. They assured him if they had not changed the requirements I would have been the perfect fit.

I had an interesting couple of days at work. My laptop ended up getting a Trojan.Vundo virus. What a pain in the butt. It really screwed up my computer. One of the guys in our office gave up trying to remove the virus and I shipped my laptop to our IS guys at our HQ. Luckily we had a spare laptop in the office that I could use. Thank heaven I backed up my computer fairly recently so I didn't lose many files or e-mails. Starting over again on a different laptop sucks though. Printer drivers have to be reinstall, fonts had to be installed, some of my archived e-mail folders were screwed up, all my websites in my favorites section in IE are gone, etc. At least I am up and running again (for the most part).
Julie - Crap, sorry to hear about the job (again). One of these days something HAS to come up that you will get. I am scared to death that I will lose my job some day. At least when I was laid off from other jobs in the past the economy wasn't hurting like it is now and I was able to find something. Now it is so hard to find a job, even one that doesn't pay much.
Wags - I really can't tell whether there is blue smoke when I start my truck. All I know is that I have a cloud of white smoke when I drive. It's not real bad, but definitely more noticeable than other cars and trucks on the road.
Guy - The water temp on the truck is fine. I have no idea how to pinpoint what is wrong with my truck. I just hope I make it to the Ride-in without breaking down when I drive up there.
Time to end this novel...

Was just listening to the "local" news on my "old" radio station,....
The Local Ship builder (who has teamed up with Lockheed) is in negotiations
with the Government on getting a Slew of New Ship contracts.
If they GET these, it would mean 7500 new jobs! for at least 5 years.
That would be sweet.
Even if it only lasted 5 years, what a pump for the local economy THAT would be.
NOW,...
Lets all Hope WINTER can "Hold On" through this 2-week predicted "T H A W"(
Yesterday was predicted to get to 36 here, but only topped out at 27!
So, I think another ride is in store today!
SCOOP: Isn't there a way the Chevy dealer can hook your rig up to a computer,...
and find out ANYTHING that is wrong with it? Maybe it has H1N1?

)Scoop, keep your eye on how much coolant you have, in your over flow and your radiator, white smoke is usually a sign of a bown or leaky head gasket.
Hey Scoop - I sure hope you get that truck thing figured out. I am lucky in that department... Jim is a GREAT mechanic and Doug's brother Brett owns a shop so I've got the vehicles covered. I wish I knew of a good mechanic over there!! GOOD LUCK with it!

I finally got some pictures of Doug's busted sled... the poor thing has no idea which way it's going...
Brad said it looks like Mater from Cars! BAAHAHAH!
It's at Racer Rob's shop... he said he can fix it. Insurance guy might total it. There is some post thingy up under the hood that is broken too... and the tunnel is all mushed up underneath. She's bad folks... got her azz kicked by a big rock out west.

Well started getting the trailers ready to go yesterday, I got the coupler replaced on the 4 place, and its gonna get 4 new tires and wheels this coming friday and the bearings packed, the 2 place is getting the bearings packed cause Larry is going to pull that one, want to try and get them done while the weather is warm.
