I will agree with Scott - I would pay to see BV in that outfit!!! :)

Perhaps at the Ride In? What do you say Randy???

I'm not sure what is going on - but my allergies have kicked into high gear. Last I checked - it's below zero - and there's a good foot of snow on the ground!!! ***????? I'm dying here!

On top of that - E's back has not changed - PT tomorrow - hoping that makes a huge difference!!!!

Scoopy - are you going to come up to the Ride In? I say - no way - do you sell your sled! If it's paid for - don't sell!!!! I hope the truck is alright - I hear ya on the leaks. While we were gone for NYE - my car started leaking - but now it stopped again - so I'm at a loss. It was red - so either tranny or power steering was leaking - but now that it's being driven - no leaks. Go figure............

alright - time to find the benadryl and hit the hay.........

Scoop - hopefully your oil leak will turn out like Andie's did. I've had that happen a couple times in the past and had them clear up. My mechanic said that can happen when it gets real cold and seals get hard. Then things settle back to normal when it's driven and things warm up again. Good luck!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATE!!!

I LOVE IRONMAN! And yep... Love to see Big Brother Vinners in that get up!

Ironman 2 is coming out May 7th. I can't wait to see that adorable RDJ's butt again... ANDIE - REMEMBER!?

Scoooooooop - no sell. NO SALE NO SALE NO SALE!!! We might not have a choice, they actually might come and TAKE OURS - but they will have to PRY them out of my grip. If I get a job... then we are "safe" but if I don't get a job... then - well, I ain't gonna go there!

Time to roll the kids out of bed for school.... I'm so sleeping in on Saturday!

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Took about 45min for a 15 min drive this morning.

The red fluid could be antifreeze if it is a chevy running dexcool.

Happy Birthday Nate!

Glad today is my work from home day - I didn't have to fight traffic this AM!

As for my red fluid - my DexCool has been gone for a while - I'm on regular green/yellow antifreeze now. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't find any more pools under it!!!

3 weeks to the Ride In!!) Giddy!!!

Happy Birthday Nate!

We'll see about whether I end up keeping the sled or not. The word "layoff" is going around at work again. I am getting nervous about the whole situation. Plus with the pay cut (which will probably be extended through 2010), my funds are extremely low. I could use the extra money. I am going to see what all shakes out.

As for my truck, I took it in today and they can't find any specific reason for it to be burning oil. They want to do an oil consumption test to basically check the oil every 500 miles and see how much it uses. The problem is that I won't drive 500 miles prior to going to the Ride-In. I guess I'll have to carry a case of oil for my truck with me just in case. They mentioned the dreaded "could need a rebuilt engine" words. I'm not sure what to do right now other than monitor the oil level.

It's snowin' and a blowin' here in Cheeseland. There's not much accumulation, but at least it's pretty.

Time to get back to work.

Scoop what size motor is in it? Chevy's are known to leak a bit of oil past the valves at the back end of the motor. You will notice when you start it up a touch of "blue" will come out of the tailpipe when you start it. Do you park on a driveway or somewhere where the truck is parked on a slight incline? If you notice the "blue" try parking in the other direction and let it sit until the next day and see if you get the "blue" out the tailpipe. If you do thats the problem and is very typical of chevys. There are additives you can try to "clean" the valve surface that you may get lucky with.

The "blue" is the oil burning out the exhaust valve because the valve did not seat 100%.

Good luck,
Dan

HI ALL!

Hopefully y'all are having a great weekend!

I've finished my first week of class for this session. A fun class it is. Having some technical difficulties with computer programs, but I think once I get that ironed out this class will be a blast!

This class is also helping me study for my PMP/CAPM exam... which is REALLY HARD TO STUDY FOR! So hopefully... in the next 12 weeks I will be able to take that test and be able to add Project Management certified on my resume.

I talked to my recruiter yesterday, he has not heard from the company yet as to what their decision is. Hopefully we have an answer by Monday. It would be the perfect job for me...

Dylan got a clean bill of health from the doc! His toes have healed up really nice and we no longer have to soak them or wrap them. He's able to wear his shoes and boots with NO PAIN! He's thrilled. Maybe - just maybe - he won't be so picky about his socks... maybe!!! I hope!

Looks like tomorrow we might take a ride here locally. We are gonna start out tomorrow morning around 9:30 and see what happens!

Later Taters!

Took a fun ride from home today with my son. I had a lot of other things to do, and we didn't leave until after 2. I was planning to be back by dark, but after we missed a turn (poor signage), I changed plans. We took a different route and got in a couple hours of night riding too. We hadn't ridden at night for any real length of time before. It was fun, but got a little cold after the sun went down. Not sure what we'll do tomorrow. I'll see how my back bounces back after today's ride. It was sure nice to ride from home again. We hadn't done that in a few years.
