whew!
Brotha Skylar and friends:
Whew! Job is going well. So much to learn,..... Amazing.
My fellow officers are great to work with, and learn from,...
I think I will do well in this position,.... and when they say
"It takes a different breed to work here",.... I can see why.
I thought I would be MUCH more dead on my feet,.... maybe it
is the "newness",... or maybe it's the COFFEE,....
But the 12 hour shifts keep ya pretty busy. We are at over
80% capacity. Never a dull moment.
It did have an "awkward" moment or two,...when doing the rounds,....
Some inmates (fans I guess),... were chanting in unison,...."Big Vin,...Big Vin",...
My partner on that round,... got a good chuckle out of it,...
and of course,... my other co-workers had to razz me about it.
I'll take THAT over the alternative though,... It is MUCH easier when they
"respect" you,.... than if they didn't.
I am not sure how it will be working all the Holidays and stuff (because I am the
low man on the toetum pole),... but I am very grateful to have a job.
So all in all,.. I am thrilled to be "learning something new and important" at this stage
of my life.
NOW,....
I hope the rest of y'all KEEP UP the good thoughts and PRAYERS for our other
friends,... Like Julie and her family,....among the others,...
that They will land good jobs and get back on their feet VERY SOON!!!!!
"I" am living proof,....
That GREAT FRIENDS and POSITIVE HOPE,..... will change things.
Sometimes when things are at their darkest,....The Light will shine the brightest!
Keep the Faith!
Thanks Again Everyone!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK! (I just Woke Woody up in his hammock,...and told him it's HIS
turn to "man the Tiki bar")
CHEERS!
