BV - Thanks for the job update. I was wondering how it was going for you. Glad to hear it's going well. When you commented about some of your "fans" in there, I had a flash of you coming out with a Folsom Prison type CD. I could add it to my BV library.

Update on Smoke - he's huge! Vet appt on Monday said he was 20.5 pounds - he's more than doubled in size now. He's so tall - he has to duck to get under chairs now...... Anyone know how to stunt the growth to keep him puppy size??? I can barely pick him up now

Linda, we might not make it this weekend looks like rain on friday so Squat won't be bringing the bike but we will make sure to come see you on May 1st, the weather has to be better by then right??!!

julies any weekend is good with us...
squat Aug 14 & 15 are wide open and we're full the 20/21 but 27 & 28 are good too
Sunny and 65 today in the UP.....what a spring, if we get a little rain we'll be looking for mushrooms!

Nope, we didn't win at the casino. The only money they got that night was the ticket price for the concert and two beers. I don't normally play the machines. Rosanne likes to though. I'm too competitive and don't like losing. Usually when we go there, she'll play the penny slots and spend her $20 in about an hour or two, while I spend my money on beer, listening to the band in the lounge. Saturday night, the band in the lounge sounded like crap, so we just left after the concert.
Scott - If you think 40 is old, just wait 'til you hit 50 and things really start going to (oops) HECK on ya... joints, knees, hips, back... you know, all the things that remind you how old you are every time you move. Enjoy 40 while you're there!

I hear ya on the casinos. I work to darn hard for my money to toss it away that fast. I did do some in Vegas but that was it. I would much rather put a $20 in and play cards with the boys.
Some good news....I am now a firefighter. I made it through the hiring process. It is a 24/7 paid on call volunteer department. Keeps me busy, and going to get real busy as I have to go to school for lots of training. This is so up my alley it is crazy, I like it a lot.

Squat and Kboo late July whould prolly be better for us as Dylan starts fooball in Aug. we would like to try and make it but if not maybe we can make it to Alpena for a weekend with the boat, just keep us informed on what you are thinking

As for the Summer Bash I'm in for Aug. 14 n 15, busy schedule for July
and Rob won't be able to go due to work but he gets vacation in the winter and I get vacation in the summer.
I've been dying to see the Paulding lights for years so the idea of going to the Running Bear is a great idea!!

Whew, I haven't been here for a while. I would check in now and then but didn't get a chance to post. I was at our District Conference last week, so the whole week was ridiculously busy. Now I am trying to catch up from being away.
I see I missed a couple of birthdays, so Happy Birthday to those I missed.
As for the Summer Bash, that is going to be tough. August 14 & 15 I will be at a sea kayak symposium and August 28 I have a party to go to in Iron Mountain. August 21 & 22 might be possible but then I would be gone three weekends in a row. Then there is the question of money. We were notified of 15 layoff days built around holidays starting with July 4. That will mean a 6% additional pay cut and money I will have to come up with for those weeks with less pay (instead of having the money gradually taken out). After spending the money on a new engine in my truck, I needed this like a hole in the head.
I need to get back to work since I am still trying to catch up. Later.....

I like that idea also! 2 1/2 hours to Brooklyn is much better then 12 hours to Paulding. Whatever everyone decides will be fine with me.
