dgr, that's what the family is for. Never feel like you can't unload on us!!
Hope all goes well with your business and it takes off for you.

Jul's (aka Grace) got a scooter today!! ROFLMAO!! I want video of her! hahahahaha!!!

YEP!! I got me a knee walker! Those crutches were gonna be the death of me!! I fell far too many times, landing on the broken foot - the one that I'm not supposed to put any weight on. So I called the doc and asked what I should do... she got me a SCOOTER! It works GREAT! I can get up and move around the house without falling down!

Crutches don't work so great when you are completely out of shape and on the fat side. I couldn't keep my balance and it seemed like the carpet made it even worse. So AWAY with the crutches!

I'll have to try it outside soon! Race Dustin down the street with his scooter!

Officer Randy I want a pic of you in that uniform!! ; )
Jul's where's the scooter girl video?

Well I almost have my summer ride ready to go. Got on Houdini last night and took a couple of steps and I freaked and made him stop. The outcome of the last try is still fresh in my mind even though it was 11 months ago!!

I need prayers... a lot of them.
<O:p</O:p
My Dad is in the hospital - he is in critical condition. The docs said to my Mom, "he is in really bad shape." They don't know how he will do over night. He is in the ICU at the Decatur IL hospital.
<O:p</O:p
This all started with the diagnosis of prostate cancer. They said they caught it early and they were setting him up for radiation treatments. There was a test procedure they did last week that may have caused an infection to go through his body. He is currently in kidney failure and has pneumonia. They have him in IV antibiotics and pain meds. My Mom and brother Jason are with him.

I'm scared to death.

Please pray for my Dad.

Juls - continuing with the prayers for your dad. Hope his condition makes a turn for the better soon.

BV (Boss Vin) - glad to hear the job is going well and you are liking it. Now days, liking your job, is almost a bonus.

DGR - keep up the positive outlook. I'm sure your family benefits from it.

Minnesota crew - Is anybody going to the ATV Fair in Anoka this weekend? We're thinking about heading up tomorrow....or maybe Sunday. How do you like that for planning. Just like the weather.

Thank you all for your prayers!

My sister drove down to my parents. She was at the hospital with my Dad and she said there is improvement from last night. He is still in critical condition, but that his kidney's are improving with the treatment and they figure out what was blocking his esphogus. They are not sure what the deal is with his lung, they have to wait a few days before they can do the biopsy.

Please keep praying - my Mom is doing her best, but she is struggling with her lung issues and the stress.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!!

My Dad continues to improve. He will remain in the hospital at least into the middle of next week.

His kidneys continue to respond to the treatment. The docs are very worried about his lung - they think it is cancer, but can't do a biopsy until he is a lot stronger. They will hold off on that until sometime next week.

I talked to him this morning, he is very weak. His voice was so quiet, which just isn't my Dad. He got tired very quickly and he lost his train of thought a lot. The docs said that has a lot to do with the massive infection in his system and the fact that his kidneys were not working right.

My sister is going to bring my brother Chuck home with her so Mom can concentrate on Dad. Chuck is really excited - he loves to grocery shop so Jean has grocery shopping on the list of things to do. He is already planning the menus for the week! He has Tacos and Cheeseburgers on his list already!

So, thank you again for your prayers… they are working.

Julie - Good news that your Dad is improving. We'll keep praying that the improvement continues.

We made up to the ATV fair today...ran into Andie & Eric there. It was a good time, but colder than heck. We weren't quite prepared for such a strong cold wind. Took a while to get thawed out afterwards.

Julie it will get better, I am going through the same thing with my 78yr old dad. He has CPOD and cancer on/in both the Trachea and Esophagus. I am with them this week down in Florida where they live, he just completed 8 weeks of radiation 5 days a week and chemo 1 day a week for 4hrs each session. Twice during this period he was hospitalized due to dehidration and rehydraded in the doc's office twice in the past week in a half. If your dad has go through those treatments make him drink even if it hurts to swallow. The doc's can give him stuff to take prior to meals to help him swallow, my dad takes Carafate 1GM/10ML about 15min before eating and then a Lidocaine/Maalox mix right before eating. If he takes any water pills check with his perscribing doc to see about stopping them if possible. Most people think the Chemo is the hardest part of treatment but in actually it's the radiation. Quite a few patients I have met this week at the Florida Cancer Treatment Center where my dad has been going for treatment all have told me that.

I will keep him in my prayers, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks everyone! Today is another day of improvements for my Dad. THANK YOU!

My foot... still broken. Damn it. This one leg thing is for the birds. The scooter helps but it's not like my real foot! My follow up it on the 10th. So 9 more days. I really REALLY hope she lets me walk on it in the boot cast thingy after that!!

Jobs... I really need a job... but I can't interview next week... so for the first time, I'm hoping for the current opportunities I am up for if they ask for interviews, they can schedule the interview for the week of the 10th!!

Have a great rest of the weekend!
