I'd rather be freezing my behind off than sweating my stone's off!!!!! you can always put more clothes on to stay warm but only take so many off to stay cool and most of me is way to ugly to run around like that anyway!!!

Hope everyone is staying cool its 108 in here right now and it sucks

Too Warm

I agree brotha Bradzoooooo!
What about all the BUGS!
I HATE BUGS! I am "trying" to get stuff
done,... but the bugs are so annoying.
Why should we have to where "Gobs of Spray",...
and "OFF Clipon's",....just to enjoy the outdoors?
Sorry summer lovers,....
When I think of summer,..
I think of sweat,... and BUGS,.....
You can have it.

Back to cleaning the pool and getting sun burned.
(oh ya,.... why do we have to put gobs of lotion on,... to protect
us from frying? That sucks also.)

I'll be INSIDE in the AIR, drinking a beer.

:)

Ugh, the mosquitos in the one corner of my yard are horrible! I'm not sure why they are so bad there, maybe because the bushes are thicker there. When I was cutting the grass the other day, all kinds of bugs were flying out of the grass. I have never seen anything like it. I was afraid I would eat one of them. A couple ended up in my eyelashes.

As far as hot goes, I never turned on the air conditioning but I wasn't home during the day. I was at work in air conditioning. At night, I just turned on the ceiling fans and it cooled off enough to be somewhat comfortable.

RON! Good to hear from you!

Julie - I'm glad to hear you don't have to have surgery on your foot. My next door neighbor just had surgery yesterday. She tore her achilles tendon on Sunday during our softball game. Ouch!

I sure hope this day goes by quick. I get to cut out a little early from work since I worked extra time earlier in the week. I'm headed up tonight to Door County for some camping and kayaking. Have a great Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Hey Scoopy!! Good to hear from you!

I totally hate bugs... So I'm with Vinnie all the way - bring on the freeze - make the bugs go away.

So I was at Tractor Supply - there is this stuff you can spray on your grass using your lawn hose and it is supposed to get rid of all the bugs. It says it's safe for pets. So I intend to use it this year on my lawn.

The foot is improving! Tried to walk today without the boot - didn't go well - so put the foot back in the boot! I can move all five toes now! The pinkie toe and the one next to it are still really bruised and the top of my foot back to and around my ankle are also still bruised and it's all still swollen, but it's feeling way better and I CAN WALK ON IT! YEAH!

I sure hope everyone has a GREAT weekend! Jim is supposed to be home, not sure when he will actually be here. Hopefully he will try to relax and enjoy the weekend rather than rush the entire time to do "projects". The only thing we MUST do is clean out the garage - but that surly can't take 3 days!

Happy Memorial Weekend! GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES!

Nate, Sat. 1 1/2, Sun. 2, Mon. 3 times I see a vacation or new sled in my future,HAHAHA We have become the only division left in the company making valve, transmission, and clutch springs, the plant that the opened in Mexico ran nothing but scrap never made any money so they closed it and shipped most of the equipment back to our plant, they also closed our Ontario plant which wasn't making money and are in the process of moving some of the equipment into our plant, so we are very busy, we have been running 7 days since I went back to work the 1st of Jan.

Just got my new puter hooked up man is this thing fast need to get used to windows 7

We had a great weekend! Jim was home for the whole weekend and we got lots done, had some HUGE FUN! Good food and laughs!

Jim and I took the boys and Doug to see Iron Man 2 today - what a GREAT movie! I can't wait for the DVD to come out - I love the extras on the DVDs so you can see how stuff was filmed... GREAT MOVIE!!

The boys were really good hard workers this weekend - I could not believe how helpful they were. I am so proud of them. I'm gonna take them to Dairy Queen tomorrow afternoon to say THANKS!

I'm exhausted today - I'm ready to sleep. This was the best Monday I've had in a long time! Y'all have a good week!

Hi everyone,

Jules, I am glad to hear you don’t need to have surgery on the foot. Just play hop along Cassidy for a bit, and before you know it you’ll be back jumping hurtles for the Olympic team again!!!

Brad, I am real glad to hear the others could not pull off what you do! All the days in a row can be a battle, but a lot of work is better than no work.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. Yesterday was my wife’s and my son Randy who is in the Air Force’s birthday. So, memorial day took on a hole different meaning.

Looks like tomorrow I might get squeezed in for a pretty big test. It would be the 30th or so, and hopefully one of the last, lol. Wish me luck peoples, I think this time I might really need it!

Hey Family! How are you!?

Today - TODAY WAS THE GREATEST DAY!

Today was the first day of my new beginning.

Today was the first day for me at my NEW JOB! YES! I finally have a job! O M G! Yes - A JOB! MINE!

I was so afraid to say anything before I actually started... I didn't want to jinx it... I didn't want to tell about it and then have the first day SUCK.

My first day was WONDERFUL! I am back where I belong! The team I am working with are WONDERFUL I can't wait to get working. I didn't get my computer today - which is fine - but we did have meetings and I learned what I will be focusing on and how training will go.

Where am I working? What am I doing? Are you sitting down? I am working as a contractor - through a consulting firm - at BEST BUY! OMG! I know!!! I am a project manager for the NSO Deployment Department. So it's work I am very familiar with. OMG! I KNOW! I am sooooo excited.

I got to see all my old friends, my old team, my old leadership - they were all very happy to see me which made me feel GREAT! I feel so good about being back - I am back where I belong.

I could just could not make the big public announcement until I knew it was going to be okay... though it's what I wanted, I was afraid to jinx it.

But I feel really REALLY GOOD! REALLY GOOD! I am back to work.

Jim is working now as well. He is working for a trucking company hauling gravel for a construction company down in Southern Minnesota. It's not a smooth running operation yet - but it's getting there. Still some bugs to work out, but once those bugs are gone... it should be all good. The big drawback is that he's living down there during the week and comes home on the weekends. He tries to get home during the week, but for the most part he just comes home on the weekends. It's all good... we are on the road to recovery!!!

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!! Thank you all for your prayers!!! Without having you all in my life, I know that this last 16 months would have been way horrible. It was a massive struggle, but we survived. Now it's time to recover!

You guys are WONDERFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Julie: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That made my day to hear the good news.

Ron: Good luck with what you have going, I hope everything turns out well.

Carole: You need to spell something wrong or use a word in the wrong context and Frnash will be here in no time...where was he when I was in spelling/english class.

All is well here, very busy with family, work, and fire department stuff.

Awesome news Julie! I am so happy for you! It must be a relief to be working again. I'm glad Jim is working as well even if it is away from home during the week.

Ron - Good luck!

At least it is Wednesday and it will be a short week. The day seemed really long yesterday at work. The weekend was great. I went kayaking and camping in Door County with the paddling club. The weather was simply beautiful and we had a great time.

Now back to reality. Work, work, work.

Beautiful day!!

THANK GOD!! Juls our prayers have been answered!! I told you never lose faith, good things do happen :)

Ron: Nice to see ya posting again hope you stop bye more often.

Went to Gaylord over the weekend and saw the damage from the fire, the building that caught on fire is pretty much gone and there is fire damage on the other three buildings. The In-laws were saying that the fire in Grayling was 95% out but they were still fighting it.

I had a great time up there, Rob n I went house shopping and since my oldest son is moving to his dads and my daughter graduates this year we are seriously looking to move up there. I can't take the city any longer plus my kids are growing and don't need me any more :( if I could ride all winter time and buy an ATV for the summer my blues would disappear and they can come visit any time they wanted. It sucks getting old ;)

Y'all have a great hump day!!
