Julie - I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he continues to improve and that you get some good news. He will be in my prayers.

Darn BigVin, I should have looked at this thread earlier. I missed your radio interview. "Belly Up" is a great song!

I don't know how I'm going to keep up this summer. Softball, golf, kayaking, yard work, laundry, house work and let's not forget work work is going to keep me hopping. It's part of the reason my computer time is way down. I just don't have time to get on the computer now that my summer season has started. I have to sneak some time in during work hours. Speaking of which, I guess I should get back to it!

It's a GOOD DAY! I just talked to my Dad, he is doing GREAT! He sounds sooo good! They have started talking about him going home! He has to be able to eat solid food and swallow it without it getting stuck in his esophagus. He's been up and walking around and says it feels really good.

My Dad said he's so looking forward to sitting at the kitchen table and watching thes sun come up. THANK GOD he can do that!

WONDERFUL NEWS! My Dad was released to home today!!! I will talk to him tomorrow, but from what my sister said he's doing really good!

Doc says I can be off "bed rest"! GOOD NEWS! Still can't walk on it... can't put weight on it - but I don't have to sit on the couch with my foot elevated above my knee with ice on it!

So I can sit at my desk, at the kitchen table, I can even go out side and stuff if I have someone helping me. I have to be careful not to fall over if I am going to be up and hoping around...

Xrays showed good improvement in the break - I got to see them too. She said if I am not careful, I could injure it more and end up having to have surgery. So I must be careful!

PROGRESS! YEEHAW!

Thanks Big Bro!! How's the job going? I hope you are enjoying it! Heard ya on the radio the other day - Great Job!!!

Today I have an interview - first one in a long time. It's a great opportunity for me! Lucky Jim is home - he can drive me up there. Still can't get out of the house on my own - stairs and all. So he will be my Driving Miss Julie Man!

It's still raining and cold here. I don't move around much - so I feel more cold than usual. So I've been forced to put socks on my feet... I don't wear socks much in the winter... so it's strange to have the need for socks in the spring/summer!

GREAT NEWS!!!

My Dad got his biopsy results today - NO LUNG CANCER!!! Thank GOD!

So he's doing GREAT from his bad spell a couple weeks ago. He says he's feeling stronger and stronger each day and now that the lung biopsy is done he says he can finally get back to living!

I talked to him earlier today and he sounds WONDERFUL. I am so happy he's doing so well.

My Mom is doing great too! She has had great improvements in her lung functions since she got her oxygen. She sounds so good and she can hold a conversation without losing her breath.

VERY RELIEVED that my parents are okay!

THANK GOD!

Great news Julie...my family is very glad to here the good news!

Our family will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers!

So nearly three weeks later and my foot is still a hot mess! Still brusied and swollen. Sausage toes!

Left foot, left side, back by my heel is where it's broken. The ankle is sprained - bad. They are not sure of the status of the ligaments and cartilage yet. They will do an MRI later when the bone issues are more stable.

Currently she says NO weight on it at all. She said if I should step down on it wrong - it could move the bone and cut the little blood vessel in there and then I would need surgery. She says it's a common area to break, but it's also the worst break with the most risk for survery. So I will be doing exactly what she says!

Go back to the doc May 24th - 4th week anniversary. New xrays will be taken and we'll see if I can put any weight on it.

Never again will I ever say "I sure wish I could sit around on my azz and do nothin!!" Careful for what you wish for!
