Juls, my foot looked like that a couple years ago, it still hurts, follow the Doc's orders.

Well not much goin on here, Kelly and Dylan are back from Myrtle Beach, safe and sound. The mother board finally gave out on my puter at home, so I guess this week I go looking for a new one, since I been without one now for a couple weeks.

Hope everything is well with everyone

Doc appt on Monday - which is the 4 week anniversay of the intense relationship of my butt and the couch. They totally need to break up... so the doc better have some good news!

Happy Birthday Ron and David (wherever they are)!

I haven't been on the computer much lately. It's been too nice outside and I have been too busy to look at a computer screen when I get home, especially after looking at one all day at work.

I'm looking forward to a nice weekend. Boy, it looks like the temperatures are really going to ramp up for next week. I hope it lasts through Memorial Day weekend.

Julie - good luck with the doctor appointment on Monday. Hopefully he will find that the foot is healing well.

Hey all, so I'm freaking out a little. Our 1 and only child a daughter who's 30 has fallen in love with a Dutch man, told us a couple months ago she was going to move to Holland in a year. OK not so bad, glad she’s in love, smart to take a year and make a cautious move and we've never met him yet so that would give us time to meet him and get to know him.

He's flying in a week from today and driving up to meet us which is great!!

BUT now my daughter tells me this morning at 6am he’s got them a home in Holland already and they can take possession in August. Holy S***!! Is he coming up to ask for her hand in marriage???? I hope I like him, what will I do when she leaves the country. I don't know if I'm ready for this, to fast, August, our only child, OMG

Hang in there Mrs Running Bear. Make sure to ask this man a lot of questions and trust your gut if something isn't right. This does give you an excuse to go across and visit another country, maybe he'll pay, lol. I would say just keep an open mind but I would grill the **** out of this guy to make sure he is o.k.

HI DAN!!!

So, I went to the doc today - my foot is not healing. As a matter of fact, it's worse that it was on the 10th!! So she said I need to see a surgeon! She said it is very likely that they will recommend surgery. She also said it would probably be done Wednesday or Thursday.

Yeah... so I'm far from happy about this. I hate surgery - I have major panic attacks when facing surgery. Not good.

Keep getting kicked while I'm down... What have I done to deserve all this? Really - who did I piss off?

I sure hope John's surgery is going well today and that he recovers quickly!

Well hello everyone!!!

It has been quite a while since I have been on here. I miss everyone so much. I read a bit, and see the big guy is now strutting the halls of justice keeping the piece. As well as others who could use a leg up in current lives woes.

As for me. I have had my own issues to cope with. Life does not always go in the direction one might want it to. Sitting at a computer poses its own problems, as well as other things. But, I continue to try and move forward the best I can. I hope you guys understand I may not have been on, but I am always here in spirit.

Hopefully I can come on again soon.

Holy cow Linda!!! Not sure what I would do either but freak out!! I have only one little girl and thank god she's told me she's never gonna move out of the house!! lol Ya she's only 7, told her I was gonna video it so when she's 16 and telling me she can't wait to move out I can show it to her..... Grill the crap out of the guy and then google search his name, heck i'd even try to call the police in his home town and see if you can do a background check. Find out about his family, and try and make a trip there to meet everyone. Ok now i'm freaking out for you!!

Jul's sorry to hear about your foot.

Can't stand all this humidity!! I can handle the heat but the humidity will kill me! Kids want to play outside all day and I just can't handle it! Ugh!!! Rather be in my snowsuit in -30 than in shorts at 95 and 70% humidity!!

WOW WOW WOW! I had a GREAT day!

Went to the surgeon and he said NO SURGERY!!! He explained the whole broken foot thingy to me, how they heal and why my foot is still so swollen.

He said go home and walk - use the crutches to help me until I feel comfortable putting weight on it. Then as I can tollerate walk with no assistance.

So - since I've been home I was able to go from the kitchen to the living room with NO ASSISTANCE! Hurt like a BLEEEEEEEEEP but I did it! I know I need to take it slow... but I AM SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY! No surgery and I am walking on my OWN! HOT DAMN!

It's a GOOD DAY!
