Well now all we have to do is get Ken, Kelly and the Muckster a job and we should be close to having everyone back working again. Is there anyone else that I'm forgetting? So keep praying and keep the faith.

Bearone thanks for stopping by and please continue to do so

Jules, Great News!

Wish I could say the same. Still looking.... Bartended at the bowling alley through the bowling season, but once it gets nice out that cuts way back. Haven't had even a short shift in 2 weeks.

Went today to see about a job that was advertised locally. The guy was a real piece of, umm, work.

Asked him about it and the first words out of his mouth were, "Well if you don't have any experience I'll just be throwing your app away." Then he practically threw the app at me. Thanks pal, don't think I want your part-time low-paying job if that's the way you treat people you never met before.

Guess I should go see if I can find any more old grenades lying around....

Later All!

julie, that is such GREAT news!!! I am so happy for you right now. I am also so sorry at how you and others have been struggling in the past and now. hopefully things will get even better and the hubby can find work closer to home in the future.

As for me. I was hired by Chrysler, and it should of been cool! but, i got sick as of 6 or so months ago. its been a bit of a battle, and most tests are in. so, next wednesday I get a bone marrow biopsy done, to focus in on where to attack. needless to say, I lost the job at Chrysler, lol. its been a bit tough, and soon I will have to sit down with my kids and tell them about it. sometimes life throws one a curve ball, and all you can do is swing away, hoping to connect. I continue to hope for some form of disability, but the states dont give that out easly, lol. until then, we plug along, hoping for the best, planning for the worst. the funny part is, the first thing that goes, is one's sense of humor, lol.

until next time,
Ron ( mich)

RON! Super HUGE GIANT hugs to you! My thoughts and prayers are about you and whatever it is that ailing - that you and the docs figure it out and get it handled!

GOD BLESS RON!!

I'm posting from MY NEW DESK ON MY NEW LAPTOP!

Ya know that Garth Brooks song...
"Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when you're talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because he may not answer doesn't mean he don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers"

I've been thinking about that song all this week... He couldn't answer those prayers before cuz they just weren't the right answer.

He WAS listening... he KNEW what I wanted deep down in my heart and soul... THANK YOU GOD for hearing me!

Happy Sunday y'all!

Rain rain rain... lots of rain. Rain is good unless you can't work cuz of the rain. Jim got rained out most of the week. Hopefully things will dry up a bit so he can get some hours next week. The crew he's working with are having lots of problems with the trucks and breakdowns as well - so it's just not going very smooth. Jim's very frustrated...

Work for me was GREAT last week. A WONDERFUL team of people - getting to see all my old friends - very cool. I am very proud that I have been getting such a warm welcome back - it tells me that I left there with a very good impression - makes me feel really good.

Gonna see if I can get down to the basement and get some laundry done. My stairs are a little steep so it's a challenge to get up and down them with the boot...

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Its nice to meet you Linda.

I have tried disability through social security. Without an exact diagnosis, getting it is an issue. I was back in the hospital this Saturday for another emergency surgery. Nothing real big, but painful all the same. I had my sixth infection on my spine. So, more draining, and another trip to a surgeon in my near future. Of coarse, this again bumped my bone marrow biopsy, and that is going forward on this Wednesday. I guess the Dr. Thinks it Leukemia, but another specialist feels its chronic ITP. My damn body just does not want to heal anymore, so things come up constantly. Either way, chemo is a good diet plan, so my ever fattening *** should shave a few lbs, lol.

I hope all is looking up with everyone, and if anyone hears from woody, tell him I need a 7&7, fake of coarse, cause I cant drink right now, lol.

Wow, Ron, I'm sorry you are going through all that right now. I will send some prayers your way. Good luck with everything.

Julie - It's great to hear work is going well. I saw you were going to try to tackle laundry in the basement on Sunday. You can always try what I did and go down the stairs on your butt! It worked for me!

It's a rainy day in Cheeseland. At least I don't have any softball games tonight since they would probably be cancelled. I have enough games to make up right now without adding more!

Ron, what hospital do you go to. I work part time for St. Joe Mercy Oakland in Pontiac and they have a real good oncology unit if you need to go the chemo route. Otherwise, so sorry to hear of all your medical problems. May God be with you and your loved ones during this ordeal. TAKE CARE!!!!!
