Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
We are back from Wisconsin. It still does not seem real. Katie's memorial service was beautiful. The church was full of family and friends and they all cherished Katie. So many people told wonderful stories of how Katie made their life better. Katie will be missed but NEVER forgotten.
My Dad was there as well... My brother Jason, brought Dad to Oshkosh so we could all be together one last time. My family was able to gather around Dad and tell him how much we miss him and that he and Katie need to take care of each other and keep watch over the rest of us.
So, we are home now... time to get used to the new normal. It's not easy, but it must be done. So, with my Dad's words loud and clear in my head... STIFF UPPER LIP DEWEY... I will do my very best to remember those words and always make him proud.
Thanks everyone for your thougths and prayers. Please be safe out there... and please, if you are too tired, don't drive. Take a nap. Where you have to go is not that important.
Katie - always had a smile in her face!
My Dad - the worlds greatest wood worker!
Katie's beautiful urn. The design on it is very similar to her tatoo.
Dad's Urn. Jason did a beautiful job crafting this. He has Dad's talent.
