Agree with you Attak man Fusion is soooooo far behind on Yamaha products has no idea about EPS & I keep advising him to ride EPS but he doesn't so he keeps bad rapping pure stand alone weight not in touch with Yamaha 2014. I know darn well by the seat of my pants why your bud bought 2014 Vector EPS & why wife luvs it too. Was I surprised? ... yes really light feel to 2014 Vector! I'm now thinking other OEMs will embrace eps too just too good not too. :)

way to keep in classy fusion.
the poor guy just gernaded his new to him sled and his season may be done and you want to taunt him?
wake up!
funny how your handle name is fusion and that is the biggest POS Polaris ever unveiled.

I have a pretty good memory, and I believe I told you 'you're in a world of sheet and don't even know it yet'. A/C makes an inferior product - worst quality in the industry. You had 3 choices for an alt manufacturer, and you picked the incorrect one. You can always go buy another tank, it won't burn down, but it weights a ton.

I'll never forget the 4s Cat I saw on the trail right near the Jack Pine with oil coming out of the block that was all over everything in the sled. 4strokes are all that :)

If a ton is 600lbs someone needs to go back to math classes. Quality is weightless!

Yep.
Maybe we can start a new, separate miscellaneous section where the forum rules are enforced?

"No Personal Attacks. Even brand bashing can be considered a personal attack. There are too many ways one can do a personal attack, so I will not give examples."

Sorry. I thought it was such a ridiculous statement that no one would even take is seriously!

Attack Man,
My dad had a 08 f1000 sno pro with 7800 miles on it that he traded a couple years back, and never had any problems with it. He had vforce 3 reeds, y-pipe, can, and better motor mounts in it. Awesome sled IMO. He now has a 4 stroke turbo though.

Yeah...I did alot of research before I bought it...and most of the cat people I talked to said the f-1000 was very reliable...and a good ride....they run on 87 octane...and handle well. I was told if you leave em stock, and they easily attain 10,000 miles. The only bad stuff was with the 07...I was told to stay away from them...the one I bought was an 08...I guess we shall see...it goes back to the dealer monday.

That sucks hopefully there is not to much wrong with the engine. My buddy had 10,000 miles on his 08 M1000 before he sold it and never had any issues with the engine and the guy he sold it to is still riding it.

To get back on topic, The most remembered trips are those when things go wrong. In time the trip events get blurry but the guys I ride with never talk about the "perfect" trips. It is about memories. I view what happens as part of the adventure. Takes the stress off.

that is true.
on our last trip u should have seen the looks on our faces when we discovered there was no tv in the cabin.
there was serious discussion about a 2hr drive each way to buy one.
well we did not and had a great time just joking and razzing every night. we did drive to a bar to watch the donkeys get spanked by the sea hawks.

well...we started our ride with 17 sleds....by the end of the weekend....Two Polaris's...and Two Cat's were on the trailers with engine troubles...and an older ski-doo...and an older polaris were also running rough.

2011 Rush had electrical gremlins...stopped on trail wouldn't start...towed it 9 miles to a bar, and had it picked up by trailer...owner bought new sled...another rush 600 at the nearest dealer.

MY 08 CAT locked up...between Kenton and Sidnaw...done for the weekend...towed back to Hoppy's...and trailered back...sled is going back to see chad monday.

Next the 03 pantera 600 (with low miles)...took out a cylinder...on the way home sunday...it's also toast.

Just heard from another friend who stayed the week....and his 08 polaris 600 puked today. (think he's buying a new sled today)

and a 98 670 HO, and 98 polaris XC 700...ran crappy all weekend...but neither burned down.

The trails were awesome...and we did have some fun....and I am thankful I ride with a good group of people.
Nothing worse than breaking down....I am hoping I will be riding again this winter...we shall see...can't afford a new sled if the cat is toast..keeping my fingers crossed that she will be an easy fix...and I have her back soon....or my season is over.

Beginning to wonder if I ever should have went back to a two stroke.... :(

Attackman- good thing you didn't buy a new sled...it would have made atleast one member on this site "nauseous".

Hopefully the repairs turn out ok man.

Ive been riding nothing but yami for 17 years. Several 2 strokes. And several 4 strokes. They are quality for sure. But i decided to try something different a few weeks ago. Went with a new '13 switchback 600 from pats. I love it. Yes the fit and finish may not be like a yami but its a pretty damn nice sled. I love it. Most fun sled i have ever had. Hopefully with proper care and maintenance it will last a few seasons. The. I'll probably try something else. Maybe back to yami, maybe a doo. I say do research on sleds, buy what you think youl like and go with it. I have my switch setup to where it steers as light or lighter than my '11 apex se with eps. No bs. Sled is so much lighter, but it should be. Half the cylinders. The vector and apex are great for what they are. High mileage hassle free cruisers. I was just wanting something lighter, more playful and nimble. So far i live my poo.
How many miles were on all the sleds that went down. Wonder what the elect issue was on the '11 rush? Tps sensor?

Wow, what a thread,,,, guy posts frustrations on multiple sled tech issues on coveted trip and kinda gets chastised on sled ownership. I've had good luck with Doo, but personally I believe all 4 mftrs have some great offerings. Maybe not "all" models "every" year, but lots of good products. Individual choice and a little luck sometimes.

Attak man, sorry to hear of your trip headaches. That does SUCK. Had multiple sled issues a few years back on return leg of backpack trip from Bergland to CH. Wasn't fun, but everything worked out. Timberline Sports provided great cust service on rentals.

For all the time and effort you put out for trail conditions and snowfall reports, you should receive donations for sled repairs,,,, hope all goes well to up running and riding again.
