Ley lines, Earth's magnetic field …

Back to the "Ley lines" and a "magnetic grid" as discussed in this excerpt:

… LEYLINES … real LEYLINES of a MAGNETIC GRID of the EARTHS MAGNETIC FIELD.

The grids meet at various intersecting points forming a grid or matrix. This is equivalent to the acupressure points on our bodies. These grid points can be found at some of the strongest power places on the planet.
(I've been holding off on this note for a spell while just following this thread.)

No, sorry, the Earth's magnetic field is exactly that: A field — an undulating, varying continuum of magnetic energy, definitely not a set of individual, discrete "lines" much less in fixed locations. Thus the"Ley lines" notion is pure fiction.

It's not unlike the old problem of measuring the distance from a fixed point to a nearby solid object. Measure the distance, mark a new point exactly midway between, repeat. There is always a new midpoint; an infinity of such discrete measurements between the original point and the target object, comprising an attempt to apply discrete measurements to a continuum of space. It is the process of measurement that introduces an impression of discrete "points". Likewise for "Ley lines".

Hummm...I always have them "lay-lines" after I wake up from a nap and are the tell-tale give away if I tell my wife I was up stairs looking for something!!

And all this time it was because I was measuring distance to a continuum on my bed and between my sheets....seen a few bedbugs down there, but none of them intersecting lines....but my toe did hit one of the loose wires in my lectric blanket and yooowwweeee, woke me...ah, I mean startled me for sure.

As far as grids are concerned...I take pills for that one!!! Say how we comin on the pies???

OK EVERYONE - THIS JUST IN!! One part of this myth is DEFINITELY BUSTED! After searching on Ripley's Believe It Or Not website for anything regarding the Paulding Light (and not finding anything), I personally called Ripley's in Orlando Florida. I spoke to an Edward Meyer and asked if there ever was a monetary award for solving the Paulding Light mystery. He chuckled to himself and said "no, it's a COMPLETE URBAN MYTH." I asked which part, the money part or the light part? And he said "well both as far as I'm concerned both, but no, Ripley's has never offered any money to solve the Pauliding Light."

Why was there never any reward for solving this mystery? Cause there is no mystery! It's cars people! :p
Naw....everyone knows it's just skylar trying out his sled again...and his wife chasing him with a golf club....someday she's gunna catch him too! The the light will be an eternal one at that!

Cat Woman- did you ask him what his proof was that it was an urban legend? I'd be curious since they took the time to feature it on their show at one time. I'm all for disproving the 'myth'... but I like proof, not just that Mr. Meyer who answered the phone in FL said so. I have heard from many snowmobilers who have seen it in bad fog and/or big snows. If it's snowing quite hard- you won't see headlights 6 miles away. 2 weeks until the big experiment!

Urban legend?

Interestingly enough, the "Paulding light" is not mentioned in snopes.com, not as true, nor false, nor undetermined, nor in any other classification.

Well, first off he wasn’t the one who answered the phone, lol. Secondly, he said they never did a full investigation on it. They looked into it and saw no reason to pursue it (Hmmmm...) He made it sound like it wouldn’t have even come close to making one of their TV programs. Has anyone ever personally seen this story on TV on Ripley’s? Cause I can’t find anything referencing the two anywhere on the internet!

Not sure but pretty sure it was a show called Unsolved Mysteries with William Shatner that had visited the light.

Leylines is strongly refuted now, thank you Frank!
What else is there to stand on?
Runningbear, your heavy fog viewing doesn't add up. Even if you support the leyline theory which supposedly puts the lights down a fair distance, heavy fog would still block the light. Are you now saying the light is dancing around right in front of your face just feet away .
So far logic and evidence has just destroyed the believers and each position is dwindling away. hanging from a thread ya r:p

As far as the evidence that busts the myth, whats the best way to handle it. Keep it hush hush to protect local business, i think so. maybe just give the finding upon request. I think that's respectful.

I'm going over there possibly to do some pre experiment observations, scope out the area real well to be certain I am prepared when the big day arrives.

People, warning warning Dr Smith
2 weeks away from the big day. I repeat, 2 WEEKS...

roll call, who all is in for sure

The RunningBears
The Lenny's
The Peppermills, anymore confirms?

and Lenny  Yes saw it in dense fog…and nic said she knows people that saw it in fog/snow too ...…but I guess that doesn’t count cause we’re “believers” and not credible...:p….and no I said nothing about the light dancing around in front of my face…lol….. we just saw it and yup thru the fog

Oh wait....I know it was!!!!!! Big Foot…with a flashlight….that’s what I saw….thunderstruck88 did you send him over to mess with me.....:D

PS we'll be home all weekend if you need your assistant...;) for pre experiment observations

Totally unrelated to the light itself, that guard rail is so beat up. My husband's old snwomobile contributed to that as well. By sled, we came up from the other side of the rail (the direction you look to see the light) and were unaware of said guardrail. He was a bit to the right of where everyone else had gone over and wham! I-beam through the belly pan. Nothing major, just cosmetic (and even that was underneath)- but still.

mommabear, how did you determine where the sweet spot is?

Do you guys have 2 way radio's ?

I just calibrated my radio metric philanthrocyphter to 42.3 hz. I re-routed the transducer to the wave point discriminator thus reducing white noise. I also plan on securing a 50gw wide band harmonic around the inner parameter of the planosphere. I think it all will help tremendously

oh yea, I almost forgot, I'll look for my photoelectric eclastopaste (European design) for separating ionic peculation . IF ANYBODY has a tri-carbonated reduction analizer, please, can we borrow it?
