24 hours or more, you will be driving tbrough the dtorm on yer way out. :)

The best trips I have ever been on, always begin with long, white knuckle drives through a huge low pressure system. The longer it takes to get there, the better it will be when you arrive!

Hopefully it'll top this one in a good way! This was January 20th 2013 on our way home from Krupps. Took us 8 hrs to drive from Twin Lakes to Crandon WI. 20 mph, couldn't even see where the road was, if it weren't for rumble strips we would've been in the ditch instantly. Every time I think back to this trip, I remember back to Cuzzinolaf flagging us down in Mass City telling us to park the truck for the night while he was attempting to hold onto a cover for his sled (yes it was that windy he could barely hold onto it). We pulled into Plutchaks and adjusted my headlights straight at the ground so I could actually see. We later pulled into McDonalds in Eagle River to eat, I've never had a worse headache in my life. We just got ahead of the storm, sat and ate for a half hour and guess what blizzard conditions again, had to drive in it all the way to Crandon, ended up sleeping at my buddys cabin for 16 hours straight, and accidentally left a window open all night.

If that forecast holds Big Vin, I am with you on riding but cautiously. I just had knee surgery to repair my torn meniscus and with the weather I thought I would have plenty of time to rehab it. Now I am going to have to step up the rehab so if the forecast is true then I can at least get out and try the new (to me) switchback Adventure.

If the 5 to 10 day holds true and even better EVERYONE will have
a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My new hip will get to ride on da 4 stroke!
(cautiously of course)
BRING IT!

Thanks for the HOPE John!

Nothing to see here,...move along,....
:)

I'm glad my old sled got a good home! Good luck with it. I only have 7 miles on my new Axys but I'm heading up to Bayfield Saturday to put some miles on. :)

Recall this... the next day seeing broken plastic and overturned trailers in the ditch on I-39 south. Glad we stayed in Eagle a few more days... the sledding was wonderful.

Have a great trip and take some pictures if you get a chance so I can have something to look at while I am on the stationary bike.

John states that some of the yoop still up for 24 "+/- on forecast text. I'm in wait and see mode. Still going on the 28th. Some break in to take care of. Better than where I an now.

When the PINK came out for the U.P. and the Dark Blue for my area of
North Eastern Cheeseland, I guess it was like opening an early present. All smiles
and giddy. I Love keeping track of the weather, even if I wasn't a sledder. I LOVE
White Christmas's also! At that time Even the boys at the National Weather Service
were calling for Cold temps and everything looked all cheery.
Earlier today it looked worse with temps around 35 for a high, but I still had hope,...
Just looked,... Now they have it at 38!. The Grinch just squashed my Hope Bug.
Not giving up, Just took the luster off I guess.
But Ya never Know Der Hey!
If ya can wish in one hand,...
And Hope in the other,.....
Ya just might end up with,....
Well,....

THINK * SNOW!!
