Good luck driving your sled around looking for a gas station that sells gas from “USA only”. You need to face facts, it’s now a global economy. I design automotive parts for a living for ALL car companies, that being GM, Ford Chrysler, TOYOTA, BMW, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Subaru, etc….. ALL of them. Most of the parts I design that for foreign cars are made right here in my plant and are being put on the cars by American workers in an American assembly plant. So does that mean I shouldn’t buy a BMW? They are who just made our payroll this week.

But you wanna here a secret……… Who do you think is the #1 company that I do product development for only to send the final production overseas????? If you guessed GM you are correct. I see my designs go overseas all the time.[QUOTE. Salmonbum I think you missed the point. Do you slip at the mininciple or Harbor view? Do you charter?

Nope I don't charter, never will. NO money in it. Plus why would I want to take a bunch of strangers out on MY boat so they can beat it up, mess up my equipment and fight all the fish? I have a boat so I can fight the fish. I slip in Municipal Marina.

Don't take me the wrong way, there is nothing wrong with trying to buy american. But just because the parent company is in the US doesn't mean the labor/parts are made here. I want my money to go to the guy on the line, not the stockholder.

I agree.

I drive a Toyota because the Fords that I had previously were junk. Maybe I got lemons or whatever but I haven't had any problems with Toyota. Not trying to bash Ford.

My Toyota was assembled in the US and US workers got paid to do it. There's parts for it made all over the world just like everyone else.

Unions are what are killing this country and therefore I try to not buy anything made from companies that are unionized.

Just saying. I have my reasons. Unions should get real. There's no denying that if it wasn't for the Unions the FED wouldn't have had to bail them out. That is reason enough.

When a guy that pushes a broom gets $35 an hr, the cost has to be passed on to someone...I.E. the $65,000 cost of a Tahoe.. The unions got greedy and killed this US economy themselves. I'm not trying to knock any Union guys, I am just stating the facts.

Without a doubt the Unions are what killed the economy.

I also agree that I'm not trying to personally bash those that involved in unions.

The unions got greedy and killed the economy! Absolutely wrong, someone who is proud to be AMERICAN and not ignorant AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT when talking about the economy would know better than to say such a dumb thing.

Yup....I'm a Dummy........ What statement did I use in my original post "Global Economy"? Buddy, I'm right in the middle of the Automotive world. Not just One of the manufactures, but ALL Of them. If the country as a whole was to cut out forgein cars that are made here in the US, we would be doomed. Ford, GM, and Chrysler not only make ALOT of parts overseas, but assemble alot of cars there as well.

Again this has nothing to do with bashing union, or even being american for that matter. This is the truth. Its a GLOBAL Economy now and you have to realize and understand that. Its not not 1975 anymore. Most of GM's cars are being based on Global platforms.....Alpha ,gamma, delta, zeta, etc...... Platforms that can be used in multiple countries and make a multitude of cars. If they didn't do this, they would be going down for sure.

I use Lawn Boy Ashless 2-Stroke. Smells good, comes in a neat little can, and they don't spill in my tunnel bag.

I buy Arctic Cat oil to support my dealer. If I was looking at saving money I would buy Mystic Sea and Snow.

I always enjoy these oil threads. When I first got hooked on this John Dee website, I was cluesless about sled oil and just figured you needed to buy it from your dealer or otherwise you were going to grenade your machine. So whether it's Sea and Snow, Amsoil, or Klotz that you use, this thread is beneficial because I am sure a lot of people who are on tight budgets have saved money and maybe made an extra trip North because of it. I think as much as Ezra and Polarisrider1 say they hate this topic, I know down deep they can't wait to open this thread each day.

So if I understand this thread correctly, JT-4 and Sea and Snow are two different products???
I was just on the Farm and Fleet website and I could only find the JT-4 2 stroke snowmobile oil (full synthetic). I didn't see anything about Sea and Snow.

Citgo now calls their Sea & Snow "Mystik Sea & Snow" and the JT-4 that you saw is the full-synthetic oil.

Our local Mill's Fleet Farms carry both of the oils, maybe Farm & Fleet does too, just doesn't show it on their website?
