Sea and Snow

I've always run the manufacturer recommended 2-cycle oils. A buddy runs the Farm and Fleet stuff and has never had a problem. It sounds like I'm going to save a buck this winter and switch to Mystik. Thanks to all for the reports and recommendations.

I use amsoil but have been tempted to try something else also..

I've used Amsoil in the past, but since last season have switched to a synthetic blend and noticed the power valves are as clean as before, and I have some extra $$ in my pocket. :)

***Mystik makes both synthetic blend and fully synthetic*** make sure you get the one you want! I do like their grease though ;)

Amsoil is synthetic. As the" buy American" crowd who is slamming on Poo moving ATV production to Mexico how many of you buy S&S oil because of price?

Do you think the mystic is as good as the polaris ves gold? I dont like smell of ves and the 42 dollar a gallon price ! Polaris seems to be not that low smoke either.

Can anyone show me where an independent testing company has proven the Sea and Snow (mystic) is better than Amsoil, other than price. Myself I am willing to pay more to support american busness and feel from facts I have received (non bashing S&S) that Amsoil is a fine product and keeps my Sleds VES cleaner and longer than Poo VES oil did. Buy USA.

where is the polaris oil refinery? I'm interested in getting a tour.

Technically, all mineral based oils are "semi-synthetic" since all mineral based oils have synthetic additives.

polarisrider1 likes me because I buy USA made amsoil, I'm so lucky I get to pick it up direct from the warehouse in Superior, WI.

Arctic Blue is made in USA :)

That's what I'm using - Como Lubes is located in MN.

I was at a local Fleet Farm today and noticed that both Mystik & Arctic Blue state "Made in the USA" on their bottles.

As mentioned Citgo has changed their packaging to "Mystik" and they do have the Mystik Sea & Snow available.

Getting a bit off topic, but how long does the injection oil really stay in a 2-stroke engine while operating, is a $40 oil that much better than a $15 oil in this scenario?

Good luck driving your sled around looking for a gas station that sells gas from “USA only”. You need to face facts, it’s now a global economy. I design automotive parts for a living for ALL car companies, that being GM, Ford Chrysler, TOYOTA, BMW, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Subaru, etc….. ALL of them. Most of the parts I design that for foreign cars are made right here in my plant and are being put on the cars by American workers in an American assembly plant. So does that mean I shouldn’t buy a BMW? They are who just made our payroll this week.

But you wanna here a secret……… Who do you think is the #1 company that I do product development for only to send the final production overseas????? If you guessed GM you are correct. I see my designs go overseas all the time.

There's no reason to face the facts. Buy American while you can.

Citgo consumer products are now known as Mystik Lubricants in an effort to distance the company from their Venezuelan ownership.
