Snowthrowers

Ariens all the way. I have 9hp that is awesome and very easy to start and operate. I had an 27 year old Areins that I got from my parents and it still worked great but to small at 3.5 hp for my current needs. I sold it on ebay for what they paid for it 27 years prior. Avoid the junk at the big box stores...lots of plastic on them and weak internal parts. LD

Ariens X2.... I have 1 that is 10 yrs old, no issues, chewed up a couple of shovels too. Kids are famous for NOT BRINGING IN THE SHOVELS.... Not that they do any work with them ! ! ! They just leave them laying there to get snowed upon after they shovel a path to their car ( @#$&%# ) " edit for bad language .....

I would go with an ariens call and talk to jonny at leblanc sales his number is 906 -296 -1288 he should get the info you need and you can take it from there mention my name too.

Ariens!

Ariens!!

Ariens!!!

They are pricey, but you will be thanking yourself 20 years from now! Mine is 11 seasons old, but still runs like the day I brought it home.

I have a 1981 toro, works good, all original, I do have to work on it from time to time but just typical wearable stuff

if you have a garden tractor, many models have attachments and you can add a thrower on front, wife may actually like it enough and it may become her permanent job, wink wink

we have a John deere thats about 20 years old and had no problems with it, it has an 8 horse engine. i wouldnt be afraid to buy an Ariens either and im sure they're just as expensive as a John deere

I have a 1985 riding garden tractor wheel horse 1800 GT with a 36" thrower for up north but need something for home. Ariens looks to be the answer.

I have used Craftsman, Ariens, MTD, and Toro. They each work better in different conditions. I have been using Honda lately because I needed one that throws farther.

The basic models from each brand will do just fine in most conditions. Get a two stage unit with a good drivetrain. Talk to the mechanics, they will tell you what they fix first.

Lets all hope that our snowblowers get a heck of a workout this year.:D

Newer John Deere push mowers and snow blowers are poop. They still have good riding lawn mowers/tractors and whatnot
