Snowmobile oils

Any one out there still using Mystic "Sea and Snow" oil from Farm & Fleet stores. I found some on sale for 14.99 a gallon and was thinking of using it in my kids 700 fusion. I'm tired of spending 35.00 a gallon for Polaris oil. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Go with Ams oil. There's a guy online that will give you the dealer price online if you order through him. It's about 25% off.

I wouldn't put ANY cheap crap in your sled.

I run the dominator in my 600's. I know that it's racing oil but it has more lubrication. Oil is cheaper than parts.

If you want that guy's number or email let me know. I got a case of the Dominator for $110. You could probably get Interceptor (equivalent to Polaris VES Gold) for a lot less.

Get the Mystic. Been useing for years in my snopro Fcat. Just cleaned the power valves, and probably didn't need to.
I was sick of gettin ripped off buying the Arctic oil too.

The amount of bad information out there about oils is mind numbing. Dont use it. Use it. Dont use it. Use it. Amsoil interceptor ROCKS! Amsoil is junk! I burned my sled down from sea and snow! I ran my sled for 1100000 miles with sea and snow!

It's just oil.......run what ya like.

I agree with rakins800's comment! So many opinions on oil, only you can decide.

If the lower cost oil wasn't any good, why do so many use it? Seems to be a lot of S&S users on the site.

I don't have first-hand experience with S&S, but do with Poo, Ams & Arctic Blue oils.

Had no issues with any of them, just can't justify the extra cost for an oil that is getting burned/depleted through the combustion process.

My sentiment exactly. I've used Doo mineral, Doo semi-syn, Doo syn, Spectro, Klotz, Legend and S&S. All worked well. All met/meet the required standards. Only difference was price and smell. Never had the dreaded and legendary burndown caused by oil.

The standards it meets (or doesn't meet) are what makes an oil good (or bad), not the price you pay for it.

Snowmobile Oil

If it meets or exceeds requierments then it is good. Beleive me I make the stuff. You don need to buy brand name.
