Snowy range in april

Mountain Meadows if you want to ride from the Cabin. Wintercreek Condos if you want to have a short truck ride up the hill, and cook at the cabin. Old Corral in town if you want easy bar, and restaurant access, and you will have to trailer up the hill from there. The trailering is no big deal on weekdays, and in the spring. It is about 5 miles drive up the hill from centennial to the "green rock" parking area.

conditions right now are 8-12 feet of base. Its all luck as to when the storms roll throught and how long it stays cool after the fresh snow falls. Its still peak season in the snowies, and will be for a month.

You can get up the hill via sled from wintercreek, but some days that may require a 1/2 mile ride on mud and gravel before you get to barber lake rd. which is not plowed and will get you up to the parking area via sled, other days the whole trip is all snow covered.

Right now, conditions are Great, 3 feet of powder. today it is suppose to get into the lower 40's, and the upper 40's by Saturday, then cool back down for the following week.

Just in case you didn't know, Togwotee is not in the same mountain range.
We may head that direction but wanted to give Centennial another try. It was fun in Jan.

I was out there just last week - Excellent Conditions

I just got back from the Snowies last week. We rode last Tuesday and Wednesday (April 6th and 7th). The conditions were amazing...3ft of fresh snow to ride in each day!

It truly was awesome! We rented sleds from Snowy Mountain Tours and had a guide with us both days.

According to the guide they had received about 10.5' of snow over the previous 2 weeks. Best conditions of the year is what I was told (when you hit it early before the sun sets up the snow).

Get out there now and have some fun!

We stayed at the Ramada in Laramie. We drove up to the mountain both days.

Yeah, we rode with both Cody's on Wednesday. It was awesome.

Have a good time and be safe!
